Think he said he drove 4 hours to xxxx, and pretty sure he's now a firm believer in "fool me once...." so you're outta luck. lol

Smart man will probly never get screwed by Doo again.

drove 4 hrs to xxxxx???? wow....never saw anything they had that looked to be worth drivin 4 hrs for...

I see that they have many new 2015 Doo's for sale. Most Doo dealers that I am familiar with have few if any new 2015s left. I talked to them last week about a new 2015 they have listed, and the fees kept changing with each call. I passed on them...

I have to say...it's the opposite here...we have an excellent SKI-Doo dealer in Tomahawk....I wouldn't hesitate sending any of you doo riders there.....However..I prefer Yamaha...and the past 15 years that dealer in town has been a chuckle head...I know they have new people in there now (same company still owns them)...but I started buying from Pat's, and M&M and won't be going back...I am willing to drive 3 hrs to buy and have my sleds serviced...because of the way they treat their customers....besides....even in the off season...it's a nice road trip to greenland...lol

Learned over the years to always keep a good relationship with your boat dealer and snowmo dealer. Was on a charity ride way back when I moved to town. Back then I had an old AC ZR 500 and a suspension bolt broke. Guy behind me hops into action without me even asking for help and got us going again in no time. New to town I didn't know that it was Bobby Donahue at Donahue Super Sports. I now own 2 Doos. Bought a 2011 this fall and had the top end on my 04 done. There is not a doubt in my mind that if I had trouble with either this winter I would be taken care of. It might cost more and I know I've paid more for gear instead of buying online but when I have days off I want that sled to work.

If they won't take care of you do like groomer said and let the world know and let them know you let the world know. Then find a dealer you can trust. Sorry to hear your story...I'd be pissed too!

Bad motorsports dealers are like bad restaurants, word gets out and they don't stay in business for very long.

BTW - Action Powersports DOES have a Facebook page....check it out!

Just does show how good Kip & Chad treat their customers well worth the drive or ride to Greenland.:)

My Dad bought our very first Yamaha from Donahue's...in 1972 (an SW 433)...he has always been a great guy...when I was a young kid...my dad used to take me to eagle river...I think I was about 8 years old, and my dad took me into the pits, and Bobby let me sit on his race sled (a 1975-76 SRX)...What a thrill for a kid!!! There is a reason some dealers have been in business over 40 years (Donahue's, Tomahawk Sports Center)....and Pat's used to be a well guarded secret...LOL...I think half the Yamaha's in town (Tomahawk) were purchased there over the last 15-20 years...it's not a secret anymore..that's one busy place...they have a well deserved (GOOD) REP...even if you don't like Yamaha's (or Polaris)...you should check them out...It's a Great place....a lot of dealerships in the midwest could learn a thing or two from the three dealerships I just mentioned.

Bobby and his brothers are definitely class acts. I have heard of a few stories of Bobby going out to the parking lot and fixing even non Doo or yamaha sleds for nothing. Bought a doo from him a few years ago and he even let us get it after hours on a Saturday. Even fired up the cash register after hours and gave us a great one day discount. Never rushed us and showed us every little tip that he knew about my sled and my wifes that we didn't even buy from him. He will always be the first that I call for a Doo or Yamaha product, and I live 2 hours away.

OP was prompted by replies to this thread to name the dealer in question. Not by his own doing

Don't think it is against the rules but agree not the way to get what you want. Better to express disatisfaction to dealer & OEM. OK to ask for help here to be proactive but should stop there.

I've never read all of the rules but if it's OK to give a good dealership a shout out like people do to 'Kip' all the time it should be cool to let people know when not treated well. JMO

If you allow cheerleading in this arena then I suspect you should allow BOOS.

Only problem is we will only hear ONE side of the story when someone feels slighted.

Face it...Pat and M n M can do no wrong on this particular site so I can see where this is a an egg shell walk from a moderating POV although the cat is out of the bag in either praise or pout at this point.

Yep it was suggested by me and I'd suggest it again in a heartbeat. If it is against forum rules then I apologize. But if it's not, SHOUT it on every sledding site that allows it.

You think calling out a dealer or any business by name only happens on sledding sites? Get real! It's called "the power of the internet" and it's an effective tool.

When consumers are shopping for goods or services how many of them look for reviews (or pay to find the good places via Angie's List)? Lot's of them.

It is against the rules. I wish I could let the bad go along with the praise, but the reason is, there are always two sides to every story and to be fair to businesses (whether they advertise on the site or not), I do not allow persons to post bad experiences on the board. If you want to PM that kind of stuff fine.

Kind of funny, not saying it was the case here by any means, but in the past...there have been some negative things said about businesses on the site, other persons jumped in to defend the business and when the true story was revealed, it was the customer that was the problem. Again, I am NOT saying that this was the case here.

In any rate, the cat is out of the bag, but time to put it back in and edit.
