Congrats on the new digs Indy. I bet you have a hard time getting dirty fingers in that garage. Looks to nice to work outta!! I had a young friend of mine ask me about my experience in building a house. I simply told him that you can buy alot more house than you can build. I bet it would scare you to price that house out now!
Thanks! I am very very glad I didn’t go the building route after lumber prices soared recently! I was very close to pulling the trigger early this summer to build. Before the lumber prices soared, the quotes I got to build a 1800 sq ft ranch unfinished garage unfinished basement, unfinished yard/driveway was the same price that I paid for this place. Would’ve had to tack on the price of the lot and potentially well & septic too along with all of the other “hidden costs” with building. This place is 5, almost 6 years Old, has a brand new huge composite deck, basement was finished less than a year ago way fancier than any basement I’ve ever seen adding a kitchenette, living room, bedroom, office, and full bath in the basement, and the garage was finished quite well and heated to boot. They even added ceiling fans and a garage utility sink too. But Had to settle for a house in the back of a subsivision on a 1/3 acre lot. Fortunately the yard is situated perfect to add a large shed/small garage in the back, and perfect amount of room to add cement in the side of the garage for trailer parking. There’s also farm field on the other side of the street and the snowmobile trail is less than a 1/2 mile away too to keep me sane! Here’s a pic of how I got the 3rd stall of my 24x36 garage. Please don’t mind the mess in the garage as I just finished building that desk for my girlfriend to work from home LOL. D1D6083D-26A1-4B1E-9E4B-2F1742FBA571.jpg

Finally get to walk my daughter down the aisle in 11 days! The wedding was supposed to happen in March so we are happy to have it happen this year.

Challenging times to try and plan these types of things, congrats to my daughter for all the hard work making her dream wedding come true!

And I thought I was proud when she became a doctor, hopefully grandkids are next!

That is an awesome set up indy! You answered my question can you ride from your door but that garage is awful tidy so it begs the question what are you going to do about carbides on the cement? lol

Looking forward to new shed project.....keep up the good work.

I bought a new Franchi Affinity 3 semi-auto shotgun with the walnut stock and fore piece and a flat black action and barrel (I love the classic look). I already had a Remington 870 pump and a Savage Stevens 555 over/under but I wanted something better for pheasant hunting in SoDak this year. Sometimes you need more than two shots!

just picked up 23,000 lbs of railroad bride decking, and have plans to build a retaining wall of sorts so I can back fill in some more of my land(neighbor doesn;'t like me putting dirt on top of THERE dirt), so have to build a wall to keep dirt from rolling onto there side of the WOODS??)
so have me a later in the year project, as I was supposed to have gotten these timbers back in June, but things got messed up, so now got me work to do !!

We started on a new house last summer. We paid the current house off this year too. Now I need to convince the wife to sell the old one to pay the mortgage on the new one. She tells me she needs her space every month??? Looking back on it now, I guess we got lucky all the lumber and stuff was paid last year before the prices went up.. IMG_20200903_171809623[1].jpg

Sure can't top Indy's new house, but two "new to us" sleds. Both of them with zero ride time with our butts on them. Super excited for the season to get started. Also - If we get no snow this season, you can blame it on us. HA!!!!
