I love my Hovercat M1000! I jump off the trail and wala- no tracks to follow! I just get back in a half mile and shut off the hover switch, and carve away in the fresh POW!

Heading up to the Chippewa Resort in CF tomorrow. Gonna stay away from the high traffic areas this weekend. Love this area, but will probably have to ride more north and west for the most snow. Some one posted 15 from Sidnaw was not good, is that still the case? Will head over to 107 and go north from there, I love that trail! Maybe play a bit in the Ottawa, Silver Mountain area too. Anybody know if the trail from CF to Amasa is OK. We would like to make some loops if possible.

You got that right Al no one rides out that way & why I was in Amasa on MLK day. On the other the hand those Iron County Twisty trails would bring tears to most Yoop riders make WI twistys seem like well groomed interstates on derby week.lol IC trails are hairpins & super tight & if you don't like tree branches & picker brush trying to wipe you off the sled don't ride there.lol I like the change of pace but a different low snow enviroment for sure & I think the low snow is what keeps people away.

Yeah I saw that post 15 out of Sidnaw was not good. His opinion I guess 15N IMO is typical 15N not the best not the worst conditions either just not in heavy snow belt but gets enough. 111 to Amasa has less snow than 15N but so narrow & no traffic also good to go. Ride towards Republic & more snow that way. I didn't ride towards Crystal Falls as heard it was thin so don't know 1st hand. Let us know conditions around Crystal Falls as I would like to ride there next week after weekend?

We had for the most part first tracks all last weekend. Didn't run into one group in the bush. Saturday at Krupps @ about 1:30 there must have been close to 75-100 sleds waiting for the premium tank refill. Glad we had 1/2 tanks at that point! We just came back later and filled with no waiting. Wish I was heading back up this weekend! Gotta wait to till the 3rd.

Will be riding up into the UP this weekend from Boulder with a group seven sleds. Hope its not to busy would like to ride up to lake of the clouds if the trails are decent.

Yep going to be another sled fest this weekend.I seen enough idiots last weekend, blowing thru intersections, crossing roads into vehicle traffic, and raceing side by side thru the turns like they are the only ones on the trails. Some really need to wake up and pay attention before they kill themselves or someone else.Bad snow year and not a big enough play ground to act like a dissrespectful idiot.I could be in Houghton this weekend but had and seen enough close calls last weekend, sometimes it is not a good thing to be the leader as i was.Just so happens i know where there is some untracked snow to play in.Happy trails and please be safe out there.

i agree with him...people dont use their heads. They think the trail is theirs and its a race track. and boon docking is NOT riding 50 ft from the trail jumping ditches and climbing the hills on the grades
