AWESOME!! I read Mrs. Bear's post on FB but didn't have access to JD for a few days there!

SO COOL! Love the pics and glad Indy got his first taste of the UP with the Bears! Couldn't have had better hosts for a newbie! I'm anxious to hear what Indy has to say too!!

Thanks for the pics, Mrs Bear!! You can tell the kid was just bummed out!! :D

It sure was nice to meet Indy and his dad. I could tell without a doubt they were having a fantastic time. Lots of places to go, alot of people to meet-I'm sure time went way tooo fast for them. Thank you so much Mrs. Runningbear (Linda)-I do believe you were having as much fun as they were. For sure, Indy will want to come back for another strudel or two. Anxious for Indy's posts.

I had a blast! Life sure is different up there! Wouldn't have been nowhere near as fun without the bears- they showed us lots of logging roads. Can't beat cruising 70+ mph for miles and miles on smooth snow-covered roads! The ride home was depressing, the snow kept going away inch by inch. It wasn't all gone until I got to my house.

P.S. Thanks Don & Donna for the hat and the great burger! And the strudels at Krupps were great too! Still haven't decided if I liked the apple or raspberry more :) Also, taking pictures isn't as fun as riding ;)

Glad you had fun Indy! What was your favorite trail? Did you get to ride 107 and 150? They are like riding a freeway with curves! I get tired of RR grade fast. You went all the way up and stayed just one day? How far is that for you? Sorry for all the questions, just gotta know. :)

You won't want to run 70+ mph up there when it's below 0 with that windshield, that's for sure. Let us know when you head up again and maybe more of us can meet you. You could join up with my group any time.

when did you ditch the "pink ski loops" :)
Only up there for one night?
Next time you will have to stop in Hurley Wi on your way north for the true UP experience.

Glad you had fun, you have more miles then most of us!

Awesome that you made it up there. Life is very different, and it keeps us coming back. Great people and great times.
You are right on taking pictures. It is more fun to ride.
I sure hope the Bears took you to see Bond Falls. They look great in the winter and are just a hop from home base.
Paulding Light?:p

I dont have a clue on what # trails I rode LOL

Stayed 2 nights and 1 day. Worked until 4:15 on Wednesday and work 3-9 today. We rode 1/3 trail, 1/3 Railroad grade, 1/3 logging roads I'd say.

That's for sure won't last long power cruising UP trails pushing triple digits with no windshiled & standing up! Took bud to UP 1st time with 2007 doo 600r in single digits during the day -15 below at night he bout froze to death. Next year bought a new 2008 XPX 800r & 1s thing he told me was it had a high windshield.lol

I was looking at the pictures that where posted of the trip. Very nice btw but I noticed the tall riser, with the short windshield, and the short track. Makes me think about the chat titled " Ape Hangers " under the Motorcycle forum ;)

May have to come up again next weekend (I'm off), I'm DROOLING over the forecast! Won't be able to decide until Thursday when my dad knows if he works next weekend. Kind of assuming the cabins will be booked by then won't they linda?
