Spring Tool discovery

Wanted to add this pic the other day but had to test these out first. I picked these up @ Harbor Freight, they were $6.99 for all 3 . Used them today and they were almost unbelievable. I think they were called " hose pliers " ? I do have a screwdriver blade altered but these worked better. They are about 12" and come in 3 different diameters. Thought I would share my find. In fact they worked so well that I doubled up my springs on the pipe ends.

some of there stuff is just as good as the name brand they made the molds from.I have a hardwood floor stapler we got 3 or 4 yrs ago when the bostitch was acting up on a job.well over 30k sf of flooring laid with it for less than the repair bill of the bostich.and parts are interchangeable.

Another easy spring tool is to take one of the long springs that hold the silencer or the pipe and double it over, hook the hooks onto the hooks on the spring you want to remove and pull. You'll be surprised how easy it is to release the spring you are removing. Alot easier than pliers or the hook tool you can buy. I also use the same method to put them back on.
