STANLEY CUP Playoffs

Everybody ready for the playoffs. I sure am. The Wild have been saving themselves the last month or so. At least I hope so. They were really clicking in Nov, Dec, and Jan. Hopefully they can play that well again. Came out with a franchise record for wins and points even with their not so great showing the last 15 or so games. The wins they did take weren't really due to their play, some good luck helped them out.
READY TO GET THIS PARTY STARTED
GO WILD!!

Statistically the Wild didn't play any differently the month of March. Possesion numbers and shots were virtually the same as they were when they were 'hot' in Jan/Feb. The difference was goaltending. It will all be on Doobs to regain his form. If he doesn't they could be done early. I have a hard time believing anybody is going to beat the Caps for the whole thing. Just too strong.

Stats might be the same but their playing sucked. Not sure if it was because the playoffs were clinched, but didn't like what I saw on the ice. And yea Dubnik definitely needs to get back his form

I've been behind watching my Hawks the last few weeks but only have the Kings game left. From what I see, the Hawks will be the team to beat. I think the Wild won a few at the end of season but can they recover from losing the point lead make a run in the playoffs?

That game last night between the Wild and the Blues was a good one to watch. Very scrappy and intense. The Blues goalie Jake Allen is why the Blues won. 51 saves. Just nuts. The Wild keep up the intensity they had in game one they will be hard to beat. I don'd see how Allen can keep up doing what he did last night.
Wild tied the game at the end of the 3rd sending the game to OT. I was fading in and out at that point. Remember waking up at one point and seeing a Blues player being interviewed about the win...

Tonight Hawks vs Preds!!!! Cant wait. I have frigging fire training till 9pm so will prob miss the 1st period. Prod stop to watch at the Village Pub in Chatam.

Goooooo Hawks! Hope they show up!

To many friends who are fans. Will blow it for me. Also the ESPN app on my phone... DVR and sports and me dont get along. I once was at a friends party for a football game. They would pause the game to go outside and smoke. In the mean time I was getting text messages like "can you believe they just scored like that!?" I live in the moment. Just like tonight. Work in the morning but I just got home from watching the Hawks lose in a bar full of Chi town haters. I am out there representing! Never lose faith. Those guys have come back when all thought they were done many times in the past. I just love the NHL playoffs! Good times.

Just finished the game, Hawks definitely outplayed tonight. Nashville had them covered and Rene was good in goal. They had better chances in the second period and it didnt seem like they gave up fight at all just that Nashville was the better team tonight. They'll be back in game 2. I thought the Hawks defense was a little weak at the end of the season and I think it's taken Oduya a bit to get going since coming back. Again, they'll step it up as they usually do. Go Hawks!

I think the Hawks were a little rusty in the first, but then they figured out the great Nashville trap and started to beat it. Rinne was good AND lucky. Hawks will win the next game.

here we go..got to skate and hit harder..vans remsydyke was a joker..got to dump with this trap..and for hells sake..why does seabrook always shoot into kneepads..hes gone in the offseason because of panarins salary..this is his last hurrah..he needs to turn it up(unless they trade crow--one has to go)

cmon now..lets do this

Good luck PD hope your boys do it. Mine are a bunch of FREAKING LOSERS!
Can't believe Zucker speared that guy at about the 5 min mark of the first. Refs only called a slashing, pretty nice of them. That was the most *** thing he could've done. Regardless of the tussle ing around the net prior (Granlund getting held and roughed up). I'd been okay with him throwing a shoulder into him but s spear is so WRONG! that in and of itself makes me want them to lose.
Then the only goal you get the Blues got to feed the puck to Parise for the goal.
They were skating hard, and not as many shots on goal as game 1. But they were better quality shots. I'm still disappointed in them,

Didn't like that hit (the hit was okay, but the shot to the head after) by Hartman. WOW little bit of emotion getting the best of him?
Like the Zucker spear in Fridays game. Although that was worse, totally unsportsmanlike. (Zucker)
Had to ho back on the DVR, saw all those secs clicking off after the whistle. Had to go back and check if they fixed it, they did not that it'd really mattered

Agree PD! Ugly! Once again outplayed! Hawks just are just not crisp, their passing is off and they're just getting to cute when they do have opportunity to shoot. Shoot the dang thing! Give credit, Nashville I think took a page from the Blues last year and are just going to ruff up the Hawks, play tough D and Rinne playing well. Hawks need to wake up or else bye bye........
