VIa Passage: Important message!!!! We've had riders go through and around fenced areas and areas that say "no snowmobiles" (and our trails have only been open one day). This is totally inappropriate behavior on any riders part. If you see this happening, please ask the rider to be respectful of the signage and stay on the trail. We do not want to lose any portion of our trail. Yesterday several riders ran right over the orange snow fence, into and around someone's house. Totally inappropriate!!!!!!

Yeah, if that were my house, that trail would be closed today, and for the rest of the season. Pure Stupidity!!!

Sadly I think that there will always be bad apples and dumb a$$ riders. They will always mess stuff up for the people who are rule abiding riders. I ride off trail but I also have permission to do so. Crazy thing is that I would gps places and I would approach the owner in the summer and it's paid off for me but I have respect for people's property. Blows my mind that people will drive right over a bright orange fence. My uncle is on the town counsel for trout lake I have personally had to out up snow fences and signs to keep people away from certain areas such as swamps that are spring fed and normally don't freeze up enough to hold a sled or to keep them away from the old school house and year after year they get messed up or a sled goes through the ice even with signs everywhere. It's a never ending battle. Sorry bout the rant this has turned into a touchy subject since I've gotten involved with the town and the locals who complain about the sledders. My uncle will tell anyone that all riders are welcome just please be respectful. Most are but not all.

The thing is ... the trail isn't even on the persons property. It takes a hard Left (With a Stop Sign) right by his property.
Maybe we have to put up a chain-link fence. Just can't believe some people think that if there's snow on the ground they can go anywhere they want.

Our place is 5 min away from the trail. But right off of Frenchman lake and we have had people ride up past our house and get mad when we come out and yell at them. One guy even claimed he was looking for a bar........ idiots

Low snow year and dirty bare trails your going to see this everywhere of peeps trying to find fresh snow your better off just to,close the trails and save the land owners from destruction until the snow gets deeper

I've had riders come by my house at 0100 and when they were "questioned" as to why they thought they needed to ride right in front of my house at that time of the day, the answer was: "We're looking for a lost rider". Yeah, right.

Very good idea but it won't happen. Also using the strong cable could be a potential law suit waiting to happen because if there were to be an accident or some ones misfortune to hit that bad things can happen.
