Summer destination secrets

For any of you Harley riders out there looking for a road trip, the 2nd weekend in August is Fish Days in Lansing, IA. Lansing is a Mississippi River town that sits amongst the most beautiful hills and valley's you've ever laid your eyes on. Lansing borders Wisconsin and Minnesota so many riders come up or down one side of the river and go back the other direction. Fish days has MANY activites including lots of live music, river activities and food. There are lots of camp grounds, houses to rent, B & B's and a few motels in the area. The event seems to grow every year. Lansing sits about 30 minutes south and west of La Crosse, WI. Great time guranteed! Have fun and be safe!

There's the Grand Marais Music & Arts Festival August 12th-14th. Haven't been myself yet, but I hear it's a great time.

Squat -

Here the link to Lansing, Iowa. A lot of people rent places on the river in Black Hawk Park. Black Hawk is located close to De Soto, WI. PM me if you want more info. Like I said it's location, river, hills, size and atmosphere make this a destination!

Great kick off for the summer. 20 lakes steam engine and tractor show Harrison Michigan. Great food, big garage sale, awesome tractors, lots of old dudes full of life and history, amish baked goods, tons of farm animals, fresh churned ice cream, model airplane dog fights!

agree! we stumbled into it once. We stay in Genoa every few weeks.

We've made it to Lansing, IA a few times this year. The Mississippi is a bit high but we've found excellent fishing. The northerns and large mouth are crazy and the perch are just starting to come on. I love that little town! It's one place I can totally relax! Have a great summer everyone...it's going fast.
