S&S is semi-synthetic. Should be no issue mixing it with your current oil. But if you want peace of mind, run yours down as low as safely possible (i.e., not so low that you get air bubbles in your oil line), then top off with S&S.

Just switch, after a tank or two of gas when there is 1 quart plus of room just start pouring in the other. I would not constantly be mixing oils and just dumping anything in there but you should be just fine making a hard change. I have done the same with both of my sleds, just wait until a quart plus will fit and then start using the new.

As above, no problem letting you oil tank get low and the just fill up. What I did when I switched from doo Semi-syn was to use an oil pump I had laying around and sucked out the doo oil from the tankin my XP and put it in my REV. So now my XP had a full tank of S&S and the the REV was full of Doo oil. I carry a quart of extra oil with me, so once the REV was a quart low I put the extra doo quart in that to burn it up (got rid of all DOO oil). I filled the empty quart with S&S and ran the REV until the oil was very low. Then I dumped in the S&S. Once I got back to the truck I then topped off with S&S from the gallon jugs.

If your worried about oil in tank u can buy a turkey baster & suck it out. That also works 4 putting in chain case oil through dip stick pipe.

I heard that S&S doesn't burn clean and it comes out your tailpipe and coats your track, then it lights on fire...
