I don't really care what people think. I don't ride without it. A buddy of mine will never ride again because he didn't have one.

Mine saved me from serious internal injuries, or worse, back in Feb of 04. Never ride without it!

Feel naked without it! Only way to ride! Kids do stare at me like a road warrior or something out of the future.

Get the strangest looks in public places with one on.

Are you sure the strange looks are because of the Tek Vest? LOL

I have yet to "test" mine and hope I never do. Wear it on every ride.

A lot cheaper than potential medical costs w/o a protective vest.

I've been wearing one for the past 4 seasons and don't ride without it. Its one of my layers in my clothing and it has saved me from having a more serious injury on more than one occasion. I'm not an overly aggressive rider but on those flat light days riding off-trail it can be hard to judge the snow contours and catching the handlebars in the chest when you find an unexpected hole or bump will do some damage. Broken ribs aren't fun...I know.

If anyone is on the fence about these I would highly recommend buying one. They are very comfortable and you honestly won't know you have it on after a ride or two.

I added fake bullet holes to the front shoulder sections to make it look like a bullet proof vest, that may be it? Or nobody in the north woods has ever seen so much Klim gear on one body before. lol

Tek vest is the best investment I made, whole family wears them.
I had a Slow MPH crash last Feb., $4K sled damage,$4K X-rays/medical.
Walked away with sore muscles. Wouldn,t leave home without it!

Wayne, you should be proud... you're one of the reasons I got one at the start of last season. Something you said like, "When you have some place to be on Monday", or something of the sort.

Oh my gosh???? You would think I was a Marketing Major at the ole' University. (I was).
Glad to hear I possibly will have helped save a life or two. My job is done. Notice as we get older we realize we are not invinceable and we tend to break easier. This is the one I have http://www.klimusa.com/product/Tek-Vest,58,79.htm as you can see the gray upper part, bullet holes show up well on this vest. added for fun!

Found Great $ on the Freestyle!!

For those that are looking, jump at this. I was doing some surfing, and found a great price on "Freestyle" Vest, for those that have been searching. I sold my XL vest a couple weeks ago since I went on the weight loss train, and just picked up an new L vest from these guys. I sold my used vest for $150.00 so a new one for $160 and free shipping is pretty damn good. Here is the link:

Man up and protect yourself, so you can enjoy another day!!!

There was a vendor at the Birch Run Snow Show selling them for $110.00.

I got a brand new Freestyle on Ebay for $90.00. There's a couple used ones on there right now going pretty cheap.

Money well spent as far as I'm concerned!

My freind laid on the edge of a trail for over a hour waiting for a ambulance to show up after being throw into a tree, screw up his shoulder and back and was done riding for the year after the first weekend. Went out and bought vests next day for me and my boys, my freind bought one before he went out the next year and said he wished he would of had one at the time of the accident. Spent over a year on rehab and still not 100 percent.
