After a run in with a deer that tried to jump over my sled at a high rate of speed I went out and got one. I was VERY lucky to be OK after that incident and I know I wouldn't be that lucky twice.

I have a 3 yr old son and another one on the way in Feb, cheap insurance to help make sure I get home to them.

Yep, and I have a 7 month old little girl and her mamma to return to now....

And that my friend, is what it is all about. Coming home to loved ones.

Don't be shy. If you don’t wear one let us know in your vote. I started this as a safety awareness post. I know way more do not wear than do. Just want you guys to live another day. Unfortunately you are probably right. One more reason to wear them. Lots of one weekend per winter folks out there. Dangerous.

I gave the benefit of doubt. I think we are dealing with adults here. Even Indy fits that list. The don’t care crowd won't respond anyways. It is how God culls the herd. The purpose of this poll is to bring awareness to safety.

Mine is a core protector so it is able to breath so I wear under my jacket & pant straps. Ridgit tekvest can be worn outside or inside I perfer inside but just me.

Well I checked "what is that", but only because "don't have one" was not an option. I'd probably wear one if I had one, just not real crazy about ordering something like that online, and there aren't any stores that sell them around here.

Go with your shirt or coat size or next size up if you plan to wear over jacket. Mine adjusts up to 4" aorund the waist.

I Hit a deer last week and basically got pile drivin into the ground at 60 mph. Wish i would have had one. Gonna be sore a while.
