Ten Mile Lodge OR Albany Lodge

I agree with snopro1, you can always find fantastic conditions within a 10 minute ride of Mountain Meadow Cabins. The picture Snobinge posted is within that range...

I have only stayed at MMC, but I have ridden to the Ryan Park Parking lot (this is almost 10 Mile I think - I could be wrong) and I rode halfway to Albany before giving up.

Albany is a good hour from N. French Creek by sled. Meaning you are going to burn an extra 5 gallons going to French Creek. Staying around Albany is good riding in the trees but it is much flatter than up top - reminds me more of the Yoop.

I would definitely consider staying at 10 mile. It is something like an extra 2 hours in the truck at least over Centennial, but if you plan on riding the West side you will make that up in daily transit on the sled...

Below is a map of the Snowies. The blue trail is Hwy 130 (trail U). Albany, MMC and 10 Mile (Ryan Park) are all marked. I also marked the Widowmaker and N. French Creek (that mark is at the base of 7 fools). I think if you are trying to get close...

Hey guys, we'd like to throw our name in the mix as well. Snowy Mountain Lodge is under new ownership and will be opening back up in 2 weeks. We're located up above Green Rock so you can just park in our parking lot and ride off the trail right to your cabin. No need to stay in Centennial any more and drive up every day. Check out our website at snowymountainlodge.org.
