I'm thinking one good heavy wet snowfall should cave that baby right in on your favorite ride.

Perhaps a bit of preventative support might be in order here....say in the way of ridge support and some midway supports tied in at the gable ends??

Otherwise, and aside from the wimpy lock, probably keep the rain off and nosy neighbors from cracking the door open.

Man after my own heart...improvize and get something done...I like it.

Looks good Indy.

Don't worry about boondocker, he has a funny way of making nice comments.

Hey Indy, good job. You may want to brace the center with a 4x8 or 2x4 or it may come down with a heavy snow fall. Had it happen many years ago with my first house. Bracing it is just a little insurance.

It's a good start.just think in about twenty years this small shed will be a 40X60 totaly tweeked out. You need to start somewhere and you are off to a good start.

Great Job Indy, I had my 12 year old look at this and he was as impressed as I was. When a door opens a crack....... way to kick it in Indy.

Super job Indy! I'm guessing if the roof has made it this many years, you won't have a problem. I have really enjoyed following this project from start to finish. It's a redneck enclosed trailer no longer! It's good to see a young guy like you not just sitting around on your rear end. You should be proud.

Might want to put something on the floor so the carbides don't tear it up too quickly. Something like the runners that you'd put on a trailer to keep things pointed straight.

i was thinking of putting something on the floor for carbides but the only thing that i had was 2x4's. i'm not worried, the plywood flooring came with the shed-which was free and i "tricked" it out

oh and my parents won't let me get my sled off the trailer to put it in this because in a month we're taking our sleds to the dealer to get tuned up and they thought it was too much work. i actually have my groomer in the shed on sled dollies right now

my groomer was getting too much moisture built up under it sitting outside so that's why i moved it inside. here's some pics:

Looks really good, a lot better with the second coat of paint, not so "redneck". If you want a cheap idea for runners for the floor. Go to a truck and car accessory store and ask them if they have any old truck bed liners. They have groves in them and you can use a jig or skill saw to cut them into strips then just screw them to the floor. Then you will have good looking runners that will last for a long time and should only cost around 20 bucks max for the old liner. Keep up the good work young man.

3 months ago, we had new neighbors move in next door. 1 month later, they had for sale a 98 sledbed trailer with a salt shield for sale for $400. it needed some wiring redone. we spent a total of $50 extra for wiring, paint, and salt shield supports. now the trailer works perfect. it has nothing on the bed though. meaning no guides or mats. so we were about to spend $100 but held off. we found we could use truck bed liners but just kind of forgot to keep looking for one. so after you reminded me tomxc700, i looked and what do you know. i type "truck bed liner" in on craigslist and the first one that was posted an hour ago (posted at 5 and it was 6 when i was looking) says truck bed liner. in new london. for free. we knew where this address was that was posted and went there and picked it up. so this trailer hasn't had anything but free stuff on it yet (lol). so know we picked up this 8 foot bed liner, and we can use it on our trailer and on my shed. THANKS FOR REMINDING ME TOMXC700!!
