The OFFICIAL Laurium Glacier Melt Down Contest

I believe it's all done

I can't be 100% positive, but, on my way by there today it appears to have vanished with the rains & some milder temps that we had over the week-end. I cannot make the "Official" call here myself, so, I will leave that up to the man in charge. I was close, but no cigar.-Mezz

So, your saying that it could have melted on Saturday? That works for me;)

Not exactly, what I am saying is, on Monday, May 23, 2011, I found nothing left, which I did 100% verify late yesterday. I can't be certain to an exact time of it's demise from between Friday night (20th) & Monday the 23rd as I had a daughters wedding rehearsal & ceremony to attend to, so I was too tied up to check. Nonetheless, if someone else has a definitive day, then I would concede, again, I am not the Official. So we will have to wait for the word.-Mezz

So it "could" have dissappeared on the 20th....... The last known date at the moment.

It was still there on the 20th, keep in mind, I did not check it again at midnight, however, there was a reasonable amount left, but, I cannot tell you it was or was not definitively there on the 21st or the 22nd, my last & final check was on the 23rd. Again, I cannot make that call. I am just the mezzenger, so don't shoot, It's up to the boss.-Mezz

Well Mezz, since I was preoccupied during the final days of it's life this season, I am going to have to go by your data. I believe your observation and assessment from late Friday that it most likely lasted until that calendar day was over, which leaves the 21st or 22nd as the date.

Since there is no way to prove if it melted on the 21st or the 22nd, we will just go with joint winners this year.

At the moment, I have a few things that are more important on my plate than taking care of the final details of this, but in a week or two, I should have some of the more pertinent tasks on my list done and can get on to making sure the winners get their prizes.

I really appreciate you keeping an eye on things for me while I was out of town.

John, no problem, glad to help. I was beginning to get a little paranoid  & feeling like I might get linched for not being able to nail the exact date:eek:. Dual winners is a good call. Get well soon!-Mezz
