So it looks like they are encouraging people in Wisconsin to book your reservations to Dallas and in the news last night, Green Bay's mayor is aready talking about a SuperBowl parade. Getting way ahead of yourselves and it is only Wednesday.

So Toolmaker, I have a question for you...

Since you seem to have the impulse to say "The Bears Still Suck" all the time.

Should we consider you to be the foremost expert on the subject of "sucking"?

I know you think it is all in fun, but from some comments I have received from many different football team fans, others do not share your feelings and I am pretty sure that for just about anyone coming to the board that is not a rabid Packer fan, it gets old real quick.

I am all for being excited for such an important and perhaps historical game, but maybe a little more creativity and a little respect for others goes a long way.

It's actually a polka song. Check it out on youtube. It makes fun of both teams.
I have many friends that are Bears fans. I've been to Fuzzy Thurston's bar after a Packer/ Bears game, everyone is having fun and singing. It's all in fun and if people take Pro Sports that seriously, they need a reality check.

I can certainly agree with your point. I remember on the morning of September 11, 2001- about 1 hour after the events of the day started and I was channel surfing, stopped on Fox out of Green Bay and they spent at least 10 minutes covering how the ground stoppage for air travel was going to potentially impact the Packers travel plans for the upcoming weekend! They even had a reporter outside Lambeau and one at the city's airport to further cover the story. I guess they figured their viewers would find that much more important to cover than what was happening in NYC, the Pentagon or PA.

That is one of the surreal moments of that day and is when I learned that some sports fans need a reality check.

I'll stop hijacking this thread. Go BLACKHAWKS!

That's it, but those pictures were most certainly put together by a Bears fan.
Snappy little ditty. I guess you have to live in NE Wis to understand. It gets a lot of air play during Bears week, usually twice a season.

I'm sorry if some don't get my humor. This is the biggest game in the storied 90 year history of these two teams. After Sunday our lives all move on, same with the players.
But one set of fans will be taking the ribbing for decades

Well I'm off to the "Great White North" to git in some ridin before Sunday.

"GO PACK GO"

I agree John. The GB media can feed us to much of football, but watcha gone a do.

thanks for the entertainment

I just wanted to post to see if we can get this bad boy up to 100 posts.

I grew up around STL where the owner packed up his toys and moved his team to AZ and STL yawned. I've been free to root for whatever team without any geographic loyalties. In the past, I've been a Bears fan because Walter Payton, IMO, was one of the most amazing players/people I've ever seen...that whole '85 team was just something special.

I was a Favre fan since the first time I saw him play. He had that old school grit that football seemed to be losing just as he was coming into the league. I never once questioned if he was out there on the field for love of the game.

I do like the fact that the Packers are owned by the city of Green Bay! How refreshing that some jerk can't inherit the team and then destroy the legacy that his father/grandfather built.

It's gonna be a great game and it'll be fun to watch the losers lose and the winners win.
