He said it was the worst start "in a long time." He didn't say ever.

And the "in a long time" is somewhat of a stretch too. We've only lived here since 2003 and one of the winters around '05 or so we had one week of riding right around the end of deer season and then it all melted, right down to the grass & pine straw, and didn't return until around Jan12th or 13th. that's like 5 weeks or so. We were just discussing this at my mechanic bud's yesterday.

My dads headed up riding as i type this, wish i didnt have so much to do at the house id be going. theres some rideable snow in the state, you just gotta know where to look

Pulled the plug on the Dec. 19th trip. If the other guys I was going with wanted to go fishing we would still be going dang it! ;)

We had about 4" here. But the forecast is almost 40 degrees today with sun and not much better tomorrow, and a good chance of rain on Saturday. God needs to drop the temps a little for us. Looks like we might be seeing grass again.:(

I should add that I am not an optomist...like some of you are ...i am a pessimist (yes I suck at spelling too)...I figure if I am wrong...everybody is happy....secondly...somebody asked why I don't trailer to the snow...truth is..I moved up north, so I wouldn't have to trailer again, and currently don't own one...trail is right out my back yard...sled was only on a trailer the day I bought it....so ...yes...I am lazy and have been spoiled...lol

Im all for Cooke over the holidays. Cuzz, and anyone else who would want to go let's get something going. If that's what it takes to ride, that's what it takes. Let's go
