I have been sanding drywall on ceilings for 3 days now! its been over 100 with the index all theses days!
I sweat so much I can literally scrape the dust off my arms and face and re apply it to the ceiling!
I'm too old for this crap! oh yesterday I had a break and had to install 6 lights on the front of a dark red brick house in full sun!
God I miss winter!!
4 more days and I'll be at Scottishack with a view of Kruppy!
Please go by four days quickly!

102-103 on the thermometer in work. A plastic shop of course, even hotter in some areas of the facility. I'm getting too old to tolerate these temps, drink 1.5 liters at work and sweat it all out. Need to get back into engineering or something a little more comfortable. Don't see alot of bugs out either, must be too hot for them also.

It was 105 at 1:30 when I when to work yesterday. Today is suppose to be better, and the weekend and into next week sounds alot more acceptable. I hope that hot crap is done for the year.

While not being quite the ice cube Lake Superior is, it is weeks like these in which Lake Michigan and Green Bay are a true blessing. It stayed between 85-90 here in Kewaunee County on Wednesday, making taking the boat out on the bay for a couple hours bearable. Yesterday it did get into the upper 90s, but today I don't think it will reach 90 since there is a little bit of an easterly wind. However, we are in desperate need of rain, as it seems that every rain chance either splits us or rapidly dies after going through Green Bay.

While I know a lot of you may have the same or even hotter readings, I just checked the "official" numbers for us here in my neck of N. ILL and after a high of 103 today, at 8:00PM it was still 97 with a heat index of 100. Was just getting ready to go for my walk thinking it was maybe getting cooler. Shows what I know.....

i totally agree with all you! It has been at 100 or over for four days straight. 5 days already this summer if you count 6/28. Absolutely riduculous most of our corn is pretty much done unfortunately. Needing rain is an understatment. It could rain for a week and it would all disappear.

Just got back from vacation in Albuquerque. Every day it was cooler there than in Chicagoland, and with the lower humidity it was a whole lot more comfortable.

Friday drove 30 miles to Sandia Peak, elevation 10,600 feet. Temp there was 51 degrees at noon. Quite refreshing, especially since we didn't bring jackets, so got a great picture of wife and daughter wearing a Green Bay Packers blanket while hiking.

Gotta plan summer vacations in the Southwest more often:cool:
