just got back from vet had to send Izzy my 16 yr old dog to the bridge to reunite with her brother who had to go last yr.
she went eating a bag of lunch meat

You've said many times that your dogs are your family. This just has to be so tough. Godspeed Izzy for your new journey.

So sorry to hear about your loss Ezra, but you did have 16 great years together! I'm a dog lover too and these things are so tough as we grow so close to our dogs. Remember to good times together.

My condolenses. My dog " Tasha " aka " Alli " is an 11yr old dobe. She is the oldest dobe we know of , I know her time is near, Hate to have to think of " The end of her days ".....

Aw geez, ezra, so sorry to hear the sad news of Izzy's passing. I know how difficult that can be. What a nice touch with the tribute to Izzy on the Dogster web site. That's a wonderful site for dog lovers; I have passed that link on to some friends who will certainly appreciate it as well. Hang on to the beautiful memories!

So sorry about the lose of your dog; we just lost our Gracie three weeks ago and it really sucks. I'm a self-employed builder like you and I would take her to work almost everyday (except when it was too cold) and now I (and maybe you) have a empty spot in my truck (and in my heart). Time does help, but I still choke up now and then. RIP IZZY

Sorry about your loss ezra. I have not seen a website such as the one you had for Izzy. What a great way to show your love. I read the comment section at the bottom and teared up myself, remembering all the pets that have made the journey. God Bless.

Ezra, so sad to here, too many JD peeps are loosing their FurKids lately, just not fair.


11 years is a long life for a Dobe. Out of the past six, Reba lived the longest, just 2 months short of ther 12th BDay. The others were 9 1/2 to 10yrs when they left me. Skye will be 3 in Feb, got her when she was 16 months, just seems like time if flying and soon she will be in her senior years.

I am fealing bad for her younger brother 3 yr old Baccon keeps looking for izzy sleeping in her spots sniffing around and looking out the door.he is not him self our other dog could care less but bacon is deff depressed

I checked out her website and it's really sweet, guess i'm a bad doggy mom cuz my Lucy doesn't have her own web page..........

RIP Izzy. I to am a puppy parent. Hate to think of those days..... Find a buddy for Baccon and things will get better sooner than you know!!
