TRAIL 3 - DOLLAR BAY TO LAKE LINDEN

Are there any updates as to the repairs to Trail 3 from Dollar Bay to Lake Linden ??

I know repairs have been going on, I'm not sure what the current status is but they have been working on it this summer.

There are 3 different contractors working on it, each has their own section(s). There are some areas that you can actually see the progress from road crossing areas etc, but the areas further back into the woodline you cannot see. We are not allowed back there to get a birds eye view, but, I know they have been busy. Some areas over 60' deep according to one of the contractors who happens to have escavators with extra long reach. Fortunately, with our extreme lack of rain, they have been able to make reasonable progress without being hampered with further errosion. Hopefully they can get it completed before the weather patterns change.

The affected area of the trail is around five miles, running from Lake Linden to Dollar Bay, and is broken up into seven segments to be easier to handle by multiple contractors.

Any recent updates on trail repair progress?

They are wrapping up some minor details in a few different areas. Should be done well before sledding starts. I would just like to use it with the SxS before the snow flies, it's been 5 years.....

Not only did they repair the washouts, they rebuilt the whole trail.

Local tv show called Discovering, just said trail repair is 90% complete and a ribbon cutting will be in early December

This is fantastic news! But, it is really hard for me to get excited to want to ride that area with the amount of other trail closures and businesses closed in the last couple years hope this repair success rubs off on some of the other closed trails!
