Thanks! Was looking at one this week and drooling the whole time! :)
Go for it!!! Best thing I ever did. So easy loading and unloading, fueling, etc. The wife even loads and unloads her own sled now. After I picked out the model I wanted, I let her pick the color.......made it easier to sell her on the idea, lol.

I bought a 7x14 + 5' V Forest River Lightning with front and rear ramp doors and a side walk in door last year and got a good deal from http://bltrailer.com in Princeton MN. Pic from a family trip to the MN's North Shore last winter.

I'm glad I didn't opt for the 18'. I back in some tight places and these rigs get long when you look at the truck and trailer. I haul 2 crossover sleds (144 & 128 or 137) so this length is just fine. But I don't think 2 mountain sleds would fit. One mountain sled and one crossover (137) would work as the first sled you load from the front and drive all the way to the back can be as long as you want. The 2nd sled in that is staggered is the limiting factor, and depending on how steep the V is your rear bumper won't go into the last 1-2'. Personally I wouldn't buy a snowmobile trailer without a front ramp doo

that is a nice deduction there . did u dump the clam last yr ?

Ezra, I never owned a clamshell trailer. I had an 8 1/2 x 12 Newman's enclosed that I really liked but sold a year ago so I could buy a trailer that I could more easily walk into to load dock sections.

I've had an 8.5x10 Triton with a SnoCap, an 8.5x14 Floe Protector, an 8.5x16 enclosed R&R, the 8.5x12 Newman's enclosed and now the 7x14 enclosed Forrest River Lightning. I had 3 sleds in the Floe & R&R, and then downsized to 2 sleds when I got the Newman's. I've changed tow vehicles too but I would say my inline trailer improved my gas mileage 3-4 mpg.

I too am looking into a trailer the same as you and would buy the 14 x 7 v nose wind resistance will make the trailer likes it not there . front and back doors with side door and one fuel door. all aluminum frame . 16 o.c. floor beams and 16 o.c. side beams 24 o.c. roof beams . rivet less exterior .And signal axle then no plates have to be bought . I have pulled a 18x7 with 3 sleds with my GMC 5.3 6 speed with 342 gears 12 mpg and I know all about gear hunting. Would be much better with 372 gears .but it works out in the long run OK. Good luck .

You have options to put in 24-16-12 oc floor, wall and roof . I like 16 oc floor 16oc walls 24 oc bowed roof different strokes for different folks

I have a Stealth Predator with a 18 foot box. I normally only carry two 137 Vipers, but I bought it longer so I can haul three. To me the extra room that the 18 has over the 14 foot boxes is worth the cost. I can walk around both sleds easily and have plenty of room for gear. To me an inline is much easier to pull, see around and load sleds. Good luck in your decision.

Hello,
I just bought the smallest Stealth all-aluminum "Apache" (it is 19 ft with the Vee and hauls 2 sleds or a UTV as I had the extra 6 inches added to the ceiling) here are my contrasts from having a new Triton XT10-101 clam each year in the past;
1. It is frickin heavy compared to the Triton clam.
2. You cannot move it in the driveway as it has two axles and needs the truck to move it.
3. If you drive across to the wind, the trailer will sway a bit, something the Triton clam did not.
4. Truck mileage has gone from 12-13 with the Triton clam to about 10-11 MPG with the Stealth.

I needed to use the trailer for my UTV AND 2 sleds. If I did not have the UTV, I would stay with the Triton clam.

I'm very happy with my Triton 147 (7'x14' box, 5' v-nose). If you know that you only want a 2 sled trailer, this is the perfect size. Because of the staggered positioning of the sleds there is still plenty of room for gear if you want. I would not go smaller, or get something without a front ramp. Most of the in-lines I'm aware of want you to load from the front.
