No big trips for me this year. Home improvements coming this summer. As many day trips to the Yoop as I can get though!

sounds like the wife is getting something she wants. I only spend a few hundred less when going to da up than when going west.
in the UP I always eat every meal out and stay in a hotel/Ramada and most of the time just 2 guys splitting the tab.
when west always a house or stay in trailer on a pass and cook meals at the house and usually 4 guys splitting the bill. only diff is the 10 less hours in the truck

Nothing so far but sure started looking. Considering the hills with wife and boy but she hasn't been on a sled in about 10 yrs. so that could turn out to be a mistake. WY sure was sweet and I'd love to get back (cheapest trip last season for the reasons Ezra mentioned). Don't have buddy's into sport, so gotta find another group of dude's willing to have me tag along (and dig me out. LOL!). Actually may have a work thing to MT in March and if that pans out, I'd have a FREE trip. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one and it's sounding pretty promising at the moment. Really is time to start getting plans laid out and dates onto the calendar before the family fills up all my weekends.

I plan to go to the UP every other weekend between Dec 1 and hopefully some time in April! Does that count? I never book ahead more than a week, maybe that's why I'm stuck in Houghton every time at a chain hotel LOL. Got to trade in one of those UP weekend for a trip West.

Is there "typically" decent snow up there by 12/1? My riding has always started after the new year and I'd like to change that if possible. Mostly because of holiday plans, but thinking I might be able to get away for one trip if it was worth the drive.

I will be in Conover Wi. on Jan 31 for a week long trip. Staying at Twin Haven at Dennis and Marys place. Can't wait, coming up with new sled & new trailer. A yearly event. Maybe I can hook up with Whitedust for a weekday ride.

4 trips booked so far but all in UP and northern Wisconsin. Nothing out West, which I would love, maybe next year for that. UP (Bergland) Dec 18-21, Hayward Dec 26-Jan 7th (family cabin so we go with or without the snow), January 19th-22nd and February 16-19th both in Minocqua. If Im lucky maybe a trip after that anywhere with snow.

You can't make that at the bank.

I took a finance class that was required to graduate. Over and over the teacher kept reinstating to put your money in a savings account because you can get 12%. I just laughed, not sure what kind of drugs he was on.
