You pointed out a recall on the first generation Tundra. But you failed to point out any recalls for GM or Ford. ALL the manufacures have their issues.

i have had gmc trucks all my life. i just bought a brand new ford. they were not in my back pocket. as for toyota some may be made here but the profit goes to japan. my 2 cents.

Here is a list of the MOST American trucks by their domestic content and where they are built.

1) Toyota Tundra 80% domestic content
2) Chevy Silverado 75% domestic content
3) Ford F-150 75% domestic content
4) Dodge Ram 53% domestic content

The dodge trucks I looked at over the weekend say 0% American content on the sticker?

Said Assembled in Mexico, engine mexico, transmission Canada?

GM trucks will all be built in Mexico by 2011, Ford's are still Assembled in the US.(until further notice)

I say buy what you like!!!! I Own 7 Fords, 4 GM's and 1 Honda. Each has there issues, but all have been good for high mileage with no major failures. By high mileage I mean from over 100k to 280k.
