UP Silber Set UP

Anyone running Silber on Polaris in the UP? Normally I run my stock AXYS when I'm back visiting. This year it's a family loaner and have to run My 850 163. Looking for feedback on clutching?

Thanks

Assuming you have the standard non intercooled external wastegate kit you’re going to have to swap out to a 3 lb spring, I’d run 1/4 av gas still at sea level and assuming your using the adjustable weights that come with the kit Id ask silber what weight to set it to. You are leaving a lot of performance on the table by running silbers clutching though, it definitely works fine but guys have found a lot better turbo setups than theirs.

If you lower the boost to make the same HP as you do up high, using same fuel ratios, the clutching shouldnt matter. Making xxxHP at either elevation requires same clutching.
I admit that may be difficult to get the EXACT same HP with Silbers spring setups. But if its just for a weekend, as long as its close still should be more than ample power, as far as clutching.

Do you use a boost gauge? Curious how far off the springs vs actual boost numbers are. Ive heard the spring numbers are lower than actual boost. My bud bought a Silber this year after using a BD ST for the last 4 years. He is going to put a boost controller on the Silber to fine tune the boost he wants.

His BD he set his clutch setup once and hasnt changed it between all elevations. But god awful expensive.

Thanks guys. Yes, 3lb spring. Non intercooled WG. No to Silber clutching. I was just wondering instead of dialing in completely, I would throw in the Silber clutching just for the week if somebody had that kit dialed in. Not looking to tweak for Max HP. Riding sea level will be a treat in itself. And of course stopping off at the local establishments and BSing. Installing a boost gauge late fall.
