Vacation Time at Work?

How much vacation time do you guys get and what percentage do you use for sledding? I get approximately 3 1/2 weeks and I really only spend a week and a couple of days on sledding. New years day and President's day off help. I use most of the rest on fishing.

3 weeks and used most on sledding so far....have 6 days to burn before mid April....sledding is done for me....probly spend most of the time on here....BWAHAHAH!

25 days, which in part due to my work load, seldom use all of that in a year. This year, I believe I have used 3 or 4 days for sledding. More for hunting and fishing, and a family trip or two in the mix.

Just moved into the top PTO (Polaris Time Off) level this year with 30 days annually - carried 4 from last year, and used 16 for sledding this season since January 1st. With 18 left, I feel like I’ve left a few riding days out there. But with 5270 miles, I really can’t complain. Maybe next year I’ll burn another whole week for riding. I only took 1 day off from March 6th - August 20th last year, so yeah, my PTO is mostly for the sledding season, with a few days in the fall/early season for trail work.

So you work for Polaris.....Hey my wife was wondering why the mannies don't give more demo sleds to women, since they make up at least a 1/4 of all trail riders....and growing....she thought that if she wrote a nice letter to each manny, they might give her a sled to use for a season in exchange for her feedback and impressions....I said, give it a shot....you'll probly get some nice stickers in the mail.

I just finished up a few day's riding with my buddy. We fist bumped on the last day, because it was the first trip in 3 that his Polaris didn't take some of that PTO.

35 PTO days. 7 for sledding.. Being a single dad, I try to spend most time with my kids. Coaching different sports..

Order you 900T yet????....BTW...the AXYS 8 rolled 8000 miles....LOL..... same engine, same hyfax, 36 idler wheels, 15 gallons a oil.

Dam....you're probably going to need to rebuild the engine before you replace the hyfax. That's pretty good...I think?

No 900T for me. I've gotten lucky with my 09 and 14 first year models....not pressing my luck. lol

Boy, I'm in the wrong business. I only get 15 days and buy an extra week for a total of 20. I always tell myself I'm going to take more time to go riding and this yr I've taken 1 & 1/2 days. And then I end up at the end of the yr with 10 days to burn and unable to use them or carry them over. That sucks! This yr we do have a 2 week summer vacation planned in New York and New England to look at colleges for my daughter. And maybe spend a day or two at some downhill mountain bike parks!

36 idler wheels? 4X besides the rears? Is that bearings, or actual wheels with bearings?

I pulled mine out at 4k this year, just to check them, only 2 bearings were dry and rough - replaced those 2 with 2 repacked bearings I had on the shelf, and reloaded the other 6 to finish out the season. They will all come out this spring to be cleaned and repacked. I know SlimCake said his were toast in 3k or something like that.

Polaris started using $.76 bearings since 2015....ok 36 was a bit exaggerated....I regrease my bearings as well but I found that the last set I put on was missing the seals in less than 1000 miles.....then the bearings split at the ball bearings and wheel is down the trail.
I've seen picks of nearly new idler bearings with rusty water oozing out like zero grease was packed in......total crap.

If you open most new bearings, there isn't much grease in them from the get go - I always open new bearings and fill them before they see the snow.

Guess I was lucky to get 4k out of mine, before only 2 were questionable. I was checking them (Spinning them over by hand and visually looking at the seals) every week this year after the reports I was reading.....
