I agree, there aren't any elite teams in the NFL right now. To give up 34 points to the Dolphins, with their second string quarteback starting the game, is not an elite team.

No team is an elite team, until the Superbowl.

With that said, there are 3 undefeated teams left, Denver, New Orleans, and Indianapolis. They would have to be considered the head of the elite class right now, no matter how they won, they are undefeated. We all know, it's nearly impossible (Only happened once) to go an entire season without a loss.

Vike fans... if you come to Green Bay for the game, take the time to visit the Packer hall of fame. In it you will see many NFL greats that played for the Pack. Someday 4 will be there too. You will also see where we display our Super Bowl trophies. Where does your team display theirs?.............Oh thats right, YOU DONT HAVE ANY!........... GO PACK!!!!

You cheeseheads seem a little edgy. Is it because if you lose Sunday your season is pretty much over? Keep living in the past. I'm sure all that great history will help you now and in the future.

Ouch! I was biting my tongue, trying to stay silent, . . . . .

This is better than reading the comics!

As a FOOTBALL Fan, GIVE IT UP with all the "living in the past" crap. Without the PAST, you wouldn't HAVE the future (the present). Vikings ALSO have had a GREAT past. I LOVED watching the Purple people eaters, Fran the Man, Bud Grant, Ect. The dominant games played in Minnesota OUTDOORS!

Of course We Wisconsinites are PROUD of the TRADITION the Packers organization has produced. You would be too.

You Have Skyscrapers, Glitz, A Theme Park in the Worlds Largest MALL!
Green Bay is smaller than some of your suburbs! THAT is what makes it so cool. I've Never met a Vikings Fan IN PERSON that I didn't have a Great time with. It is the closet "typers" that are such a riot here.

How many NFL stadiums have a lot you been too? Experienced the Games in?

Lambeau is Awesome. College-Like, and yes, you can FEEL the HISTORY and the mystique of being a Historic Meaningful Franchise. Live in the past. Not really. Proud of the FACTS, . . . . SCOREBOARD!

Now, to be a jerk, The fact that This years Packers ARE one if not THE youngest team in the NFL, Yet, . . . . Have looked better (so far) and outscored the SAME common opponents they AND the Vikings have faced, and if not for the YOUNG mistakes 3TIMES in the REDZONE, the Vikings would NOT have won the first game. 8 sacks, 20 sacks, whatever. I hope it is Very close game, Clean game, and of course I hope the Packers Even this years series. But GET REAL if you think the Vikings can be crowned ANYTHING this early. Geez.

Yes, we have wacky face painted, Cheesehead wearing, assorted passionate fans, just as YOU have an overweight long bearded sword carrying dude wearing a Dan Akroyd/Jane Curtain Dome with Horns on it Pumping up a Noisy crowd with Just as many face painted, Helga-hair horned hat passionate fans. That is what is cool about US mid-westerners. That is a GOOD thing.

Have you ever tailgated in SanFrancisco? Oh Boy. Excuse me, please pass the Wine and Lobster, . . . . .

Watch for me on TV this weekend, Tailgating WITH great Viking Fans, In my Aaron Rodgers Jersey with My GREEN Brett Favre Hat on. We'll ALL be getting along just fine. And yes, . . . . VISIT the Packers Hall of Fame. No matter WHAT team you root for, you will be overcome with AWE. PERIOD! It not only celebrates over 90 years of Packers GLORY, but a GREAT NFL History. Then, be a good sport and root for YOUR team. But don't be a M o r o n.

It is Very HIGH PAID Atheletes perfoming assignments professionally for ENTERTAINMENT purposes, in front of Passionate Fans In 16 Cities Every Weekend. Some of these people have saved for a long time to get just ONE chance to see their favorite team. Passionate, U-betcha!

Lose Sunday and our season is pretty much over? Are You drunk? that is a good one.

Hate Ted and Mike? Give it a rest. They field a competitive team Every Year. There can only be ONE Super Bowl Champ each year. Pick on Brett? Why not. It's Fun. 7 years or so (after he FINALLY makes it for real) The Day he is entering the Hall Of Fame (as a Packer) and has his name placed on the ring around the stadium, and has a Tearful jersey retirement ceremony, ALL football fans will be grateful for ALL he has brought to the game No Matter WHAT team he threw TD's and Interceptions for.

Wow, Now I feel better. Ribbing is fun, being a doof, well, enough said. Cheese and Spam actually go together quite nicely!

Come on over, I'll buy ya a Cold beer MADE IN MILWAUKEE.

"GO PACK GO"

All the people out there that take sports more serious that their real lives need help. It should never be more than fun ribbing. I've had fun with Bear fans at Lambeau and northern Wis. All just good fun poking on each other. I live 7 miles from Lambeau and it's a hoot drinking with fans of other teams before and after the games.
This Sunday is going to be nuts with a 3:15 start time.

Oh yeah, "The Bears Still Suck The Vikings"

Well said bigvin, we must remember it is a game and when it is over we all go home to our families and the real world. It is fun to poke at each other in a sporting way, but we must remember to not cross the line into the moron type insults that too many fans seem to do nowadays. I, too have many friends that root for other teams and I live for the days of the good natured pokes between us......then we have a beer and do it all over again. GO PACK, BEAT THE VIKES!

It will be interesting to see if the Pack has their O-line patched up enough to keep Allen out. Last weekend wasn't much of a test. Also the Pack will be without Finley who hurt the Vikes badly the first time out. Rodgers is very good and given time could do great damage. For some reason Grant does not look like he did last year. Both QBs could throw for 300. Should be very entertaining for fans of both teams.

Well since I started this post I figure it was time for me to add another .02....well said BigVin....I too have sat amongst mixed crowds in Bloomington (yes the old Met stadium, although I was a lot younger I do still remember), MPLS, Green Bay and Chicago....and by far Lambeau is the greatest place to be on any given Sunday. I would love to have season tickets there but a couple of things prevent that:The cost, the drive from MN and I dont think I will live long enough to see my name make it to the top of the list.
Win or lose I will always be a Packer fan not jumping on / off the wagon depending on their record.
GO PACK!

You guys can take this thread anwhere you please, but let's not forget one simple fact:

THE
VIKINGS
LOST

Like music to my ears...

ezra and doospunk..did you hear who was the offensive player of the month? 143.9 qb rating, not #4 it was #12 so no im not smoking anything , just stating the facts. rodgers was definately the better choice for gb. imagine his numbers if he would have an offensive line.

On the other hand.....look at who was nfc defensive player of the month? Darren Sharper! And he's still relevant and playing at a high level, but GB saw fit to get rid of him too. Just Sayin'! Funny he ended up in Minnesnowta too, only to go to the Saints.

The Packers didn't get rid of Sharper or Longwell. The Packers weren't going to pay what others were offering. Their is no alliegence with these players in the NFL, but to them selves. They go where the cash is higher. The majority come in, do their job and after the season is over. They are off to their real homes. Farvara was the first to leave town while the other players cleared lockers the next day. As for Sharper if you watch him he never tackles anyone. He trys to just get in the way to slow the player down. It's an entertainment business that we love to go goofy over.

"GO PACK GO"

Tool, that isn't totally true. Although, you're right they weren't gonna pay him the money they thought or didnt think he was worth and it didn't seem to be negotiable, so in essence they DID let him go, in turn releasing him.

Touche on the rest of your post.
