Clever. Did you come up with that all by yourself? Thats some quality gold right there. How do you find the time in between riding and critiquing someone else's trail work? I know, you've been active for 25 years. You've meationed it twice in this thread alone. I've been active twice as long. But here's the difference. You mentioned it twice as a badge of honor. I do the work cause it needs doing. While you're busy riding, complaining about bumpy trails and filling your depends. Hundreds of ''active'' members dont have a chance to ride. They're too busy cutting down trees that fell across the trail. They dont have the luxury of "cutting a track" around it and posting about it later.
Oh, and I'm not your buddy....

YES I mentioned it twice...cause you don't seem to get it.....that many people on here do volunteer (not to toot my own horn, like you seem to think)....BTW why does somebody who lists "southern Wisconsin" as their home location think they have the right to talk smack about anybody who lives, works (and yes) volunteers up here ??? List the clubs you belong to up here.....(not southern Wisconsin)

Hey Whitedust. What do you think the trails in Vilas will be like after this melt down? Buddies cabin in Presque Isle, is just waiting for me to use on New Years.
Thanks bud.

Presque Isle (NW) has more snow right now (than SE). The typical heavy traffic normal this week would take a toll. No way to predict, temps, amount & type of precip & traffic all are factors.

Just got back from a car ride. Lac Vieux Desert is marked as far as I can see from the west boat ramp. Don't know if it goes to Thunder Bay yet.

Merry Xmas everyone. :) Every Trail report I post is real time on the trail riding experience for that day and time. Hopefully those conditions can hold for a day but temps, rain, snow, traffic and grooming can change conditions quickly. After the Xmas Sunday -Monday rain/snow mix passes I will start riding again next week if possible see what we have out there.

Hey WD....take a spin down to Wabeno ....I need to know if it's worth the trip up. ...:joyous:

Trails in the Crandon and Wabeno areas are rideable. Trails in the twisty wooded areas are in need of more snow but rideable, trails on roadbeds and trails that are fairly flat are good, the WRT Frog Alley to Crandon is very good.
I'm a LMT groomer and this is based on Saturdays grooming. See Lumberjack Memorial Trails Facebook page for up to date trail reports. Or better yet join the LMT and get weekly email trail reports.

No Doug not today... pretty warm and wet out there now and I have my gkids arriving and they will want to gravity sled. However venturenorth will poke around Sayner today and JimAndros are both real time trail condition reporters too. Look to their posts today for insight.

You, I did see Jims post earlier. We are still planning to come up tomorrow as it is going to at least get cold again. Thanks again I do appreciate your updates.

Doug PI has a lot of snow out that way and Friday ER, Conover, Lando had busted butt to groom good trails and was goodish then. It all depends now on freezing up the slush and sleet Vilas had Xmas. If bumps were groomed out trails could be really good with a little lube snow after the freeze. That's the best I can advise now and I do believe we will get the lube snow sometime this week....enjoy early season conditions.:)
