vintage ride

My sno-jet showed up and gonna take er for a ride this afternoon. I would like to have a vintage run and gathering the first or second weekend in March, snow permitting,,,anyone interested?

Sweet Ride!!!!

Sounds like fun.... but I won't know if I can get away from the shop until it gets closer to the ride date.:confused:

Did BBB get his too??????

BBB did get his but hasn't had it out, just arrived yesterday. I took mine out for it's maiden voyage and ran it about 5 miles. So far so good, clutch is real noisy at idle and the idle is kinda up and down, I need to check the carb boot and look for leaks. All in all is a solid straight machine. Wonder why the clutch is so noisy

I don't have vintage but can I go on the ride with a sweet 98 Polaris XLT? My March schedule is pretty open...

my 79 yamaha srx would fit rite in ,,, but dont want to pay $45 for a trail pass

Lenny, Does it have a Cat Hex clutch on it? If it does the bushing is wore out in the cover...Bushing wore out will cause it to be very noisy...Id be up for a vintage ride also but im in the same boat...$45 is kind of spendy for a vintage ride...I attached a pic of my somewhat modified Scorpion Sidewinder.

I'll have to look but the noise is from the primary while idling

Register it in Mi than, life time registration and trail pass for $50, restrictions is occasional use, gatherings which does qualify us, that's what I am gonna do!

Very nice Lenny! Where you gonna haul the grill on that? ;) If the right vintage sled came along I wouldn't mind getting one. A 1976 Polaris TX would be perfect, that was my second sled. Right now, I don't think my 2012 will qualify. Have a blast with that bud!

Mark, I'm in the process of restoring 2, 79 Polaris TX's a 340 and a 440, plastic parts are har to find for them.

Very cool Lenny!! Perfect ride you got there!! We can come with our 89 Indy 500, is it old enough to join the fun?? Could probably haul the grill ;)

it's old enough, we have to have sleds that can haul the old sleds back in!

Nice Lenny!!! I keep tryin to buy my 81 Exiter 440 back from the guy i sold it to but no luck. Would realy like to get back my old 81 SRX back but no luck with that either.

was there not a crew on JD yrs back the leaf spring mafia or something like that that?they went up every yr running there old iron in the woods.they had vids of them hill climbing in that play area s of houghton that you turn in at the corner buy the powerline.
