Ski-Doo TNT RV Cross Country? Though I couldn't see if it had a twist grip throttle. Raiders had a twist grip in 1972.

I think I finally stumped you guys so I'm going to give you a break.

It was a purpose-built cross-country racer. They didn't do well on the ovals so they focused on durability and engineering and won the Winnepeg to St Paul 500 Cross Country race in 1975. Brian Nelson was the winner that year on a 340 c.c. John Deere. Liquid Cooled with a large Air Scoop and Twin Fuel tanks for fewer stops along the way.

Kelly (skiroule) ought to get a kick out of this one. I doubt he'll want to incorporate twin tanks into his current build, but, you never know. Thanks for the history lesson.

I was considered the first snowmobile marketed to the ladies. I had lots of chrome, shocks on the skis, speedometer & tach. and a slide rail suspension. Advertising included "the Total Dream Machine". My make, model, and year is.......

1972 Scorpion Stingerette?
Close enough, 1973 was the model year.

"Look out Cat, Look out Ski Doo, Scorpion Stinger is comin through" was there slogan in 73. They had the Stinger and the Stingerette for the ladies. Most called it Pink, Scorpion called it "Midnight Sun Magenta". Probably not something the guys would like to be seen riding. The girls had a choice of a 290 cc or 340 cc for CCW Engines. Thanks for playing!

FYI, I edited my answer after I realized the '72 didn't have the chrome and doodads in your question, It also had bogies. Was in a hurry just trying to beat Mezz to the punch!
I am flattered, Thank you....

Kind of somber today with the One Year mark of John's passing. So, I thought we'd try to brighten the mood with today's trivia.

Does anyone recall John's first snowmobile and what made it unique?

This company sold more than just snowmobiles. They also featured lawn and garden equipment, boats, bicycles, and bowling balls.
What was the name of their snowmobiles?

AMF also owned Harley Davidson when they made snowmobiles
Yeah, I forgot to mention that, cycles too. AMF was quite the story, a huge company with tons of diversification which eventually caused their demise. They couldn't manage it all and many of their products suffered in quality. They were just too big and managed too poorly, eventually bought by a holding company which dispersed most everything for pennies on the dollar.
