Lets get that big can of worms out and peel it open for another peek....
Anybody have experience or thoughts about/with the '14 Indy 800 SP? Has Poo solved it's motor issues for 2014?
I'm figuring if I extend the warranty out three years that will hold me until I'm onto the next adventure.
449 lbs - that's insane HP to weight ratio. I'd bet 12 - 13 MPG if lucky.

How much $$$ for this ride?

A refined 800 from Poo? DANGER WILL ROBINSON DANGER!

Got a backup sled to bring along JIC?

LOL - You know we are showing our age by laughing at "danger will robinson".
Yeah I know, that's why I said "peel open the can of worms". It looked like a great deal until they called me this AM and told me near $600 in dealer freight and setup. Took the wind out of the sail on that dingy.
If it don't snow and get cold pretty quick there's gonna be a ton of inventory at dealers and you know what that means.

A classic isn't it!!! Ah...how I yearn for the simpler days!

Ton of inventory at a Yamaha dealer? = lower prices? = not that I've seen the past few years.

A friend of mine has a 13 hasnt has been good to him, i think he has around 4-5k on it. Im on dootalk alot and that year I havent seen any threads on that topic. Ill keep my eye out. Maybe you can post a link?

Just what I know of from local dealer techs and a couple riders in our group...
1 guy has a 2013 renegade with 1600 miles and now afresh motor. Crank warped apparently. Was in the shop for 5 months last season. Lucky for him he bought a 2014 summit... Which also ended up in the shop due to a sensor that was back ordered.. That only took 3 months. Dunno about you but 22k in new machines only to spend most of the season in the shop would have me looking elsewhere.

Yea thats just not the case over larger sample sizes. The worst year for etec crank was 2011 as some were assembled incorrectly. That was part of the recall, to inspect crank to make sure it was assembled right. if not free replacement ;). Never heard of a sensor that keeps the sled out of commish. that stuff can be altered or by passed by the buds system. Makes zero sense. LOL 3 months for a sensor. What sensor was it? i call BS. Just like the dootalk thread you claimed now its local dealer techs and riders in group. :)
