Virtue signaling masks do not protect you.

Life is about choices. Being a judgemental Richard Head is one of them. I don't wear a mask unless I have to, and I am choosing to not get vaccinated. I know a lot of people who are vaccinated, I know a lot of people who wear the mask religiously. I'm not going to judge them because of it though, because I don't want them to judge me by my choices.

X100. So much of what is going on in this country is due to no tolerance or love of your fellow man. I wear the "face diaper " because I have cancer. My family wears theirs to protect me because they love me. You can do what you want. That is how I feel . If you and those around you are healthy you should be allowed to live your life the way you see fit. But having an individual make assumptions about me because of the precautions I have to take is just thoughtless. We are not all blind sheep. I don't wear it in my vehicle, outside, at home, or in the barn. I really haven't worried about getting the rona from the cows.

The masks are not to protect you, but to protect others. When the virus is in suspension of the vapor from your breath. The mask has a chance of "knocking it down" when exhaled and hits a mask.
The mask does hardly nothing to stop a virus that is in the air on its own. Like dust through a screen.

If you see peeps wearing a mask 8n there car by themselves. Tbat is a prime example of tbe behavior. I myself will continue to enjoy life to its fullest. 9nly wrar a mask wben mandatory.. Not going to dumb down my immune system. BY mask wearing.
.
Im sure I get expposed to the virrouse hear and there...but thats what keeps the immune system workingng. Ypuse mask wearing folks can hide all you want.. But youre just setting yourselves up for catching it

Perhaps 3M will release such a statement? They've been in the bus for a very long time, with various mask types!

My 3M N95 masks have a disclaimer printed on them. Misuse may result in sickness or death. For proper use......
These are pre-covid.

Surgical masks protect the open wound from bacteria in saliva and other such humanly fluids that could fall from ones mouth or nose. Completely ineffective against an airborne virus. N95 masks are sealed for the users protection but not for anyone in the room. I do believe they have an exhaust on them. My wife has to have a test every couple years for these. The put on a helmet like a astronaut would wear with a n95 mask on. They then spray some nasty smelling spray in the helmet. If they can't smell it they pass the test and the mask is fitted correctly.

Quick Draw McMezz, ya beat me to it! :encouragement:

Wait, what? We were both able to post emojis without the forum parser screwing 'em up and leaving garbage behind?
What's the magic here? Is it just this thread? Is it just today? Did the Earth's magnetic poles flip? Just the right alignment of the stars? Was the forum software updated/corrected? Whut izzit?

How 'bout we try a semi-colon: ";"?
Egad, that works too?
Hurrah!
