Warmest snowmobile gloves

Have been running handguards on Yamis for years. If you can keep the wind off even crappy warmers and cheap gloves will do the job. Gauntlets for long trips in cold weather with a side wind. Works for me.

Do these still give you access to the middle finger when needed? You know, for signaling?

Nope, i ran into that problem a few times when riding with lots of people as i'm normally the leader (unless it's just me and my dad) but i'd rather have a warm hand then letting the person know how many people are behind you. Normally, i would just give a full hand out if there was 2 or more people behind me or "flash" my hand by opening and closing my hand really quickly. Here's an exact picture of mine.

I tried the Klim Fusion gloves last season and they worked well. I'll be using them again this season. With your hand inserted in the lower position of the glove (which puts most of the insulation on the top of the hand) it allows more of the heat from the heated grips to come through to your palms so I was able to ride most of the time with the warmers on the low setting. As was suggested earlier though, the more wind you can keep off your hands the warmer your hands will be. The Skinz hand guards work good for that too as was mentioned.

To heck with all that plugging in electrical crap. I wear Klim Togwotee gloves. If your hands get cold in them your heart stopped beating. By far the best (2 prs.) gloves I have ever owned. Klim does it right!

I bought Motorfists glove to compete with the Klim Togwotee glove. I had the Tog glove for the last two seasons and will compare. Klim does it right but Motorfist does it better. :D

what??????some people love the comfort and ride a zillion miles, not stopping ever hr. My buddy has cords running all over and heats his pants, coat, socks and gloves. He rides 10,000 miles a year and he's comfortable, can you blame a guy for that?

I am gonna say that no matter what glove you have (unless heated) that your hands will get cold IF you don't have a windshield or hand guards. I have the Tog gloves and my hands get cold for this very reason. I also have True Adventure Gear gloves and my hands get cold in them... and they will with my new Valkyrie Motorfist gloves too. I carry a pair of gauntlets with me for those cold days when I have to ride home from our riding areas.

Keep in mind I have a riser, no windshield and no hand guards.

I agree with the Klim Fusion Gloves as they work very well, and i also agree with the Gerbing Electric Gloves, as these are th only glove that keeps my wifes hands warm.
But I just bought a pair of Motor Fists WOT glove to try.

I meant the kind of signaling you sometimes have to do when someone is riding like an idiot.

My wifes car has heated seats but I would never take that down a snowmobile trail. I tried the heated shield back in the day. Always forgot to unplug the stupid thing. Bought a better helmet and all was fine. I guess If you can't make enough heat your self then that may be the way to go. Off trail riding heat is a non issue. My wife has battery operated heated socks and she loves them despite all the razzing she gets. To me all those cords limit my freedom and kinda takes away from the reason I am out doors in the first place. Do you run with all those cords?

we all don't have 10" tall handlebars :)

3 Finger Gloves?

i use the 3 finger leather. if a finger gets cold i just use the gloves like mittens. the leather is for when a belt goes or if you have to work around the pipe.

Where do you get 3 finger gloves? I prefer gloves with the thumb, pointer finger (kept on the brake at all times) and then last 3 fingers together. A little different than the lobster claws like Indy500 showed. Scott used to make 3 finger gloves but the company was sold and the gloves are no longer available. I found a pair of 3 finger gloves at Fleet Farm, and they say they are wind-resistant, but since they're no-name gloves we'll see how they work.
