Never started in Watersmeet.

Any good place to park the trailer while we ride for the day?

Costs?

Good loops?

On a related note, I have seen a packed down path heading north/northeast out of the casino parking lot. I’m assuming some guys take some forest roads out of there? That darn grade and the red snow honestly makes me hesitate to start from there. Takes a handful of rides to get the red out of there suspension.

LL trail out of casino dumps you at 2/3 junction red snow for a mile or 2 doesn’t bother me at all it’s white from there 👍I wash my sled after any trip north sand is unavoidable in the UP and WI Northwoods.

Yes I know the marked trail brings you to 2/3, but this is unmarked. I’ve only rode from the casino a few times in my lifetime but there is always tracks heading the opposite direction.

You can head north out of the parking lot about 200 yards pick up Bass lake rd about 2-3 miles then turn on fr 5086 take that to fr5250 which brings you to the trail where trail 3 and 107 meet. Actually had my camp on Bass lake rd so used to do that all the time. I would love to try and push a real trail through there at some point.

It's been a while...but I remember taking a trail near Iron River up to Sidnaw...been on it a couple of times...I believe the locals call it the spaghetti trail?....and it's one of the nicest wooded trails I've ever been on in the western U.P.......Just gotta head east from Watersmeet to Iron River...but I can't remember the trail number and don't have a map handy (goofy, or whitedust probably knows the trail numbers)...from Sidnaw you head to Kenton, and then head south back towards the casino...it's a really nice loop...we always topped off in Iron River, and usually had enough gas to head back to Watersmeet.

YES...that's the one...very nice!!!
My favorite loop believe it or not from Florence (Spread Eagle) is that route however when we get to sidnaw I like to run the pipeline up to L'Anse, have lunch/dinner at hilltop then come back down to sidnaw then head down 8 to 107 to 2 back east to home. round trip is right around 280 miles but most of it is fast trails.

I'm hoping to do that in February when I'm up riding. Looking forward to it

15n has changed a lot over the years not nearly as twisty as it used to be back in the day. Lake Katherine north is groomed FRs now still nice but much different from the twistys thru the mature forest. 15n from 2 also has been rerouted due to an unsafe bridge have no idea what that’s like now but I’ll find out soon.
