As more of a lurker than an actual poster...I really don't get why, when one starts reading a thread that you know has turned ugly, one doesn't just move on to the next one?
I read some threads and see the first "Uh Oh!" post and just slllowwwly go to the mouse and carefully click on out of that thread.
We all know there are some nasty/lying/idiotic folks that sometimes post. We all know there are some folks who post but are nice folks who didn't mean for their post to come off with a bad "tone."
Sometimes it really is "well, if ya ask a dumb question, get a dumb answer." Sometimes I think it's a good question and KNOW what the poster MEANT and there are some who choose to jump their ship and some who choose to answer it. Kind of like people just being people? And sometimes it's how the poster posted.
And frnash, I do appreciate the english lessons...I truly do...but I have to think about the guys I know who type with 2 fingers and it takes them an hour to type what takes me 10 seconds...too hard to think about grammar and spelling and all THAT kind of stuff?!?!
And now you add the whole TONE issue too??? Holy crimony!?!?

I'm a " hunt - n - peck " guy myself. Now what were talking about ? With age ... I get easily distracted, talk in circles, only see 1 point of view, AND ,,, have foot in mouth disease ! If I post up some " unappropriate smack " I usually feel bad, just me being an arse again.

you can no longer ask anything here or you get the entire spew from most.....dont stand,run this oil,my 4stroke is the chit....your polluting,back packs!! the best is the oil threads seems some just love their oil and if you dont run that brand!!! well ya.......sad kinda turned into a kindergarten class

IMO, the good outweighs the bad around here 99% of the time.
And I'm always grateful to the comediens in the bunch...have to say this is always a great place to come to get a good laugh!!
And Firecat forgot to add "the DNR ROCKS! and something about FIB"
I think it sounds more like my 13 year old than my kindergartner...but I ignore it and wait for one of my favorite smart allecks to post so I can *snicker*
And I'm always grateful to the comediens in the bunch...have to say this is always a great place to come to get a good laugh!!
