welding a heat exchanger

i have 1/16" hole in my heat exchanger, has anyone used a durafix welding rod to repair exchangers. i have the motor out and could drain the anti freeze and tilt it on its side to weld it. thanks

Said this in misc. but I had mine alum. mig welded with a spool gun. Took track and suspension out of course.

I have had a few welded and my welder always flushed out with watter cleand the heck out of area and used tig to weld.that said I have a bud going on yr3 with jb weld

Yup, Jb weld will work. Make the area is very clean, dry and warm.
