I took the class though the MTU Sledheads a few years back and I would take it again. very informative and teaches you survival skills as well as avalanche awareness and safety.

Hey, thanks for posting this. Had been looking for something around here, but wasn't having any luck. Got signed up, don't know that I'll ever need it, but good to have checked off the list if an opportunity comes up.

FYI Duffys hands on search and rescue class is also well worth the money. I think u have had to take the basic class with in 2 yrs but he had the one I took the next day at the sno x track
