I just rode trail 100W(jumped on at south west end of Gogebic) to trail 1 to Marenisco on Saturday. It was thin on snow, but it was open.
I just checked DNR website, and it shows closed. Odd. I talked to the sheriff in Marensico and he was heading east on that trail.
Not certain about anything east of the lake though.

From Gogebic Area Grooming Facebook page. All of trail 100 (between 1 and 13) is closed for logging. This means no access to the south end of lake gogebic. Also closed, is part of trail 13 south of lake gogebic down to trail 2. Well, that really s*$ks.

WOW! That is complete bulls^*t and hate to see that for the businesses. It is bad enough we are all crammed into a small area now to have trails being closed down to logging, you can’t tell us that they didn’t know this going into the season.

so in your attachment I don't see that 13 is closed ......that's what I want to confirm before heading that way

13 between trail 100 and 2 has been closed all season so far. 13 north of 100 is open. With 100 being closed pretty much chokes that whole area off.

This is not true, trail 13 has been open between 100 and 2, because I’ve been on it and saw tracks coming off it onto trail 2 just a couple hours ago.

Well that is good according to gogebic area grooming and Polaris ride command it is closed due to logging. Hopefully it's open it's a nice trail. Perhaps they figured out a reroute around the logging?Unfortunately I have seen tracks all the time on closed trails.

I’m not saying it’s open just saying it hasn’t been closed all year, it may have just got shut down but they have not put any closed signs at trail intersection of 2 and 13. So my thought is 13 is open just not 100 or they are going to be having a bunch of people driving up 13 and having to turn around which would suck.

So looking at groomer tracker right now 13 is open top to bottom and 1 is open just no connection between or to bottom of lake. IMG_6113.png

Wow 1 is open the whole way. When was the last time 1 was open the whole way? That is good. Also nice to see 13 is open the whole way. Goofy do you know why 102/11 is not being groomed. Goofy how is it going east out of Watersmeet.

102 does get groomed, but I don’t know on what schedule. About 11 are you referring to going towards Winchester? If so that was done over last night I believe but I also don’t know what their schedule is for that either. I have not been east of trail 107 but from Watersmeet to trail 3 is still a little thin with some rocks but people are riding the heck out of it.
