I know Apex engine makes adjustments for belt wear won't over rev like a 2s. Not sure about a Nytro but agree Apex belts last forever. I changed at 4500 miles just because but really didn't need to & only $60-70 for new belt.:)

Kip,

You don't tighten those Yami tracks to Yami spec's do you? I know dealers want to sell hifax but Jesus H that spec is stupid tight! With extrovert drivers like that 2011 has (or when did it start?)......run those tracks lose lose lose!

14,000 miles and counting on my 2005 Vector. Stock compression on the engine and still the original clutch sheaves. Just finished up a major refresh (front bushings, front shock rebuild, M10 refresh) including installing a "tall" seat from a 2006 Apex along with a 4" riser.

All this and my wife has given me the green light to by a new(er) sled!!! What's wrong with me??!!! LOL!!

groomerdriver,

no we do not tighten to spec. We leave them as loose as possible. Sounds like you're good to go on your 2005! Keep the chassis in tune and there's no end in sight! Hope this helps. Kip

Kip,

You don't know how close >< I was to pulling the trigger on the '12 Vec LTX you have/had that you sent me pictures on! The wife still says "buy it" and keep the 2005 for the stable. I just wish the economy was a little better AND we didn't take the big hit on our health insurance costs!

After seeing me wrench (i.e. update/refresh) on the sled for the past 3 weeks she thinks all I have been doing is "fixing" it. What she don't know won't hurt her! I REALLY really want that LTX though!!!!
