I love my sorel boots but can't find any new ones. Bought my wife a pair of ALTIMATE boots last year, and she really likes them. I may look at ALTIMATE more this year.

Try the boot on before you decide. There are a lot of options out there to choose from. I don't like to buy footwear via catalog as I like to try before I buy. I found a pair made by Kamik, light weight, warm & dry and at a reasonable price at our local Surplus Store.-Mezz

A lot of good boots out there. For me to change boots would need to be warm & super light & quick to put on. I have warm trukke boots with quick snaps & release ( not sure of spelling) but NOT light weight.

Love my Klim boots. Can't wear them all the time as I have cold feet. Out all day needs a -140 rating and I found the Red Wing Irish setter 1600 or the 2000 thinsulate boot woks for me. In early and late season I live in my Klim's.

Sorel dominators from the eightys never had cold feet but they are heavy. Now the liners are getting worn out and I can't find new ones.

$39 Farm and Fleet...not sure what brand but the best (dryest, warmest) I have had. Much better than the sorrels I had a while back. IMHO most people buy a boot that is rated for too much cold. How many times have you snowmobiled in temps below -20 let alone -140. It's been my experience that the feet will sweat too much and then all the moisture causes them to be cold. A dry foot will be the warm foot. I am not a scientist, but dont over think this either.

Trukkes, I luv mine. Never cold or damp. I wear simple white socks in them. Buddy bought some and loves them also.

I wear Baffin - I've had them for about ten years and they still haven't worn out. I've never gotten cold. I may change in the future, but only to a more rigid sole.

easy to put on? like velcrow or straps? that would be nice.

Got the wide some Baffins last year, huge things. she is always cold, never heard a peep out of her.

I had a boot come untied last year and i almost had my foot sucked into the track...

Klim Adrenaline GTX! Best boot I have found. My feet sweat A LOT! Every other boot I tried my feet would get wet from sweat and the boot leaking water in. I don't have that problem with the Klim. My feet still sweat but the boot lets it out!
