#1 would be better.lol
But why would it be smart for Doo then? You said it in a previous post.

Congrats on the new sled Richard! It's your money to spend as you wish!
Yawn... see ya.lol
Then I really don't understand why you would buy another one?
U need to adjust that R Motion because its not the R motions fault.
I've never heard anyone that's ridden one say they've rather had their previous chassis back.
It couldn't of been that big of a deal I guess if you just plopped down another 10G on one.
Yes I knew it wouldn't be that great of a ride. Of course its not the R-motions fault lol!! Its an awesome suspension if youre coming off a '98 Polaris XLT.. Its at dealer now for the 500 mile check and oil change. Mech has a few suggestions.
Center shock may be the key. And I was wrong about double spanner nuts, it looked like spanner nuts but it's only one and mech showed me you can turn center shock fairly easily with gloves on. Tried all 5 rear pre load settings with ski shocks from 1-3. Caution, when moving rear pre load from 5 to 1, supplied suspension wrench snaps again st top of suspension and is basically locked into place because it's not quite enough room for wrench to completely rotate to new setting. Took a while to get wrench loose from suspension. I'll see if the mechanics suggestions work when I ride this week. On a positive note, this sled starts and runs, turns great with the new skis and ras-2. I'll keep you posted
Thanks for the info, I'll see what he says. Yes, very frustrating, but I've gotten some great suggestions on here and I think I'm getting close to a good set up.If you weight more than 240, try these. 503 192 270 (Right), 503 192 271 (Left) torsion springs. That or i would highly reccommend contacting this guy----> http://www.monsterperf.com/contact.html. He is good and can at least set you in the right direction as im sure he has herd your story before. You have the best suspension in the industry, and a 10g investment.I would think it would be pretty disapointing if YOU cant get it right.
Oh yes, 5 to position 1 is proper rotation. Position 1 to position 5 would be the backwards rotation and would be pretty tough..Agree with momoney2123, for your weight you need the heavier springs, preload adjustments aren't going to do it. Also if you read the manual it specifically states to never try to go from 1to 5 or 5 to1 directly, supposed to go up and down progressively, 1to2to3 or 5to4 to3 etc. I believe their reason for recommending that is to lessen the chance of breaking the plastic cam adjuster.
Ya no. My 2014 gsx se 1200 with the r motion doesn't ride as good as my 2013 gsx se 1200 with the previous sc 5 suspension. My brother has a 2013 gsx se 1200 with the sc 5 suspension. When we ride and switch sleds there's a night and day difference. This is the only person i have ever heard complain about the R-motion. If it doesnt fit you from facotry setting there is almost infinite adjustments to make. The only thing i can think of is unique riding style that no suspension will satisfy, or just unrealistic expectations. when you ride other sleds back to back with r-motion u truly realize how great it is.
It was more than 10 g's with options lol, plus it's just my back up sled..U need to adjust that R Motion because its not the R motions fault.

Bottomed out on rear torsion springs # 2 setting just a couple times, on 3 it felt stiff but no bottoming. 4 and 5 too stiff. Mech at dealer that rides quite a bit set center shock softer, and gave some suggestions on all settings. This may be what's been preventing a decent ride.I owned 2 SC-5 sleds and my bro still does, last trip we rode back to back many many times. Its not even in the same stratosphere of suspenion comfort and bump capability. After the trip he sold his SC-5 and wifes for new R-motions. The SC-5 was a nice improvement over REV's SC-3,4 but realisticaly its old school in comparison to R-motion. Every time i go back to a pre-rmotion sled i cannot wait to get it back. no comparison. JMO. Contact Ian at monster he will get u going. i think the torsion springs maybe to light. Do you ever bottom out?
