You betcha....

I met a few of these clowns up in the UP in early dec. I took them out for a ride. I was leading the ted guy, and he went off trail 20 ft and get stuck right away. While we were waiting for him to get unstuck in 6" of pow, littlewanker, blew up his engine in his rush.

I felt bad for em, so I took them for a ride the next day and littlespanker had to rent a phazer. I stopped at a powerline for a little fun and the LRT guy just kept driving right by us like he knew where he was going. Then I took LW down the powerline, he rented a 144" phazer, while ted waited for LRT. The very first little ravine we got to LW buried his 144 in 6-8" of fluff. I was laughing so hard, I got myself stuck in 3ft of fluff. So after dinking around for 15 mins, I got us both out. We got back to the trail, and ted was still sitting there waiting for LRT. He was to afraid to go down the trail by himself. So I got us rounded up and we went looking for LRT. I found LRT about 2 miles down the trail at a stop sign. He was pacing back and forth near his sled. I asked him whats up, and he replied," its overheating, I dont know what to do". I said how long you been sitting here idling, he said 15 mins. OMG Im thinking, what a bunch of rookies. Anyway I felt sorry for the guys, and took em on a nice easy slow ride down the grade. Stopping plenty of times to make sure they were ok.

So to shorten it up a bit, they were so happy to get back to Rockland, they gave me a good chunk of change for being their guide. Im like, WOW these guys aint so bad after all. Anyway, they said they would call me the next time they wanted to ride. They are going pay me again to be their guide, and buy me dinner too. What the heck, might as well make some cash doing something I love doing. And karma will be on my side, cuz these guy will prolly get stuck somewhere and freeze to death without a guide.

Another suggestion "Team Clueless".

I have a small group of guys we ride with. We make fun of team names most of the time. I came up with a team name last year and never told my group about the the name until the season was over, i will do it again this year:
Last years team name: Team Gay Clint and his strait friends (He's not gay)
This years team name: Team CORN-N-POOP.

Its stupid but what else can you do but follow the in crowd. HAHA

I must be a loner... But never understood the Team Name thing. We ride with different groups thru the year but mostly our friends from Indiana the most. Sometimes my son & I go solo. Never the less about 4-5 years ago we were seeing this specific Team " $%#@ &%$# " stickers plastered everywhere, from the HotDog stand north of Seney to the Gogebic Lodge in Bergland down to Cadillac area. Over a couple of years we kind of chuckled when we would see the stickers. ( They were definately well traveled ) One day we even met 4-5 of the guy's from that team , nice enough guy's .... Never the less one day, we happened to walk into the Bear Trap , get lunch and take a wiz. Walked in the mens room and had seen another 1 of those team stickers, so we decided to help them out, we pulled it off the wall and plastered it on the inside stall door of the " ladies room " .... ( LOL )

Back in the day I did up a 4 place enclosed trailer as a "Team (company name goes here)" With 3' tall letters And a catch phrase of "Just Floor it!" It was the accountants idea to write off the trailer as Bill board advertising. I got calls for work as far away as Newberry and Kalamazoo from people seeing it. They would always ask about our Racing Team. I told them I raced up US131 or I 75 every friday to go snowmobiling. It worked as an opener and most always got the job.

I have no team but am affiliated with a few.

If I had to pick a team name for my crew it would be Team Fuzzy Bunny Slippers.

Team names are not new at all. I am revitalizing my Team name from 10 yrs. ago. After several hundred members it got to cumbersome and fell apart. Then I was with "Traveling Willburys" for a while until we lost Roy. Then I went on to "Team Jamison" (nice irish bunch) until this year. Now back to the beginning "Team Oakers". Our slogan "We all started out as a little nut in the beginning". our catch phrase is "hang on to your acorns".

Don't have any specific or significant reason to explain the name we ended up calling our squad. I think it had something to do with an accusation made by somebody one of us had managed to annoy somewhere on the trail. Anyways, 25 years ago we thought it was good enough and it's stuck ever since.

I have seen these 'Team " stickers for years. I still see fairly fresh 'Team Ridehard' or whatever stickers with their ominous looking 1986 Pol Indy image pasted on mirrors and any other hard surface. Makes me wonder how many 1000's of stickers they ordered up back in '86 and how many of the original group still rides. Oh, well I was young once too. Whatever works.
