Well let’s get this thread back on track from original topic. It’s seems like now with the internet and Craigslist any time before that was like the dark ages when it came to selling our “toys”. We would have to type up an ad that could only be so long and submit it to the paper and it only ran so long and then wait for a phone call on your land line house phone.

I know its difficult for the anti-doo-ites to understand, but doo protects their spring ONLY buyers with the X, XRS, freeride sleds. there are no rebates on them they never go on fire sales. I paid less than the above price on renegade X 850 in the spring. Where as the poo XCR, pro X or S, the cat RR or HCR or the Yamaha LTX-DX-FX-PX-GX-YX-BX-ZX or whatever heck its called are NOT spring only....you can buy them in season for HUGE discounts. So when they fire sale those sleds say buh bye to the value of your spring check high end sled. If I was a poo, cat /Yamaha rider or if doo didn't offer spring ONLY sleds, I would have a hard time spring checking, you know the same exact sled will be 3k+ off a few months after you get it.

While I can't verify snobuilders prices a person can usually get amazing prices on non current new sleds in November and end of year, depending on brand and left over sleds. I was searching a lot this Fall and many brand new non current were on the 9,### range. There were also many sleds with under 500 miles on them that were great deals.
As for how I sell my sleds....well usually the insurance company gets them since my last 2 sleds were wrecked before I got to sell them.

LOL...almost forgot about newspaper ads....our local free weekly shopper is about 1/10 as thick as it used to be.

I've seen Doo's recently going for pretty cheap prices just like the other manufacturers. Even models like the Freeride. This was posted by a dealer in Rochester, MN...

2017 Summit SP 154 850 Was $12,349. Now $10,899
2017 Summit SP 165 850 Was $13,349. Now $11,699
2017 Summit SP 174 850 Was $13,949. Now $10,399
2017 Freeride 146 800R Was $14,149. Now $10,599
2017 Freeride 154 800R Was $14,499. Now $10,899

That's up to dealer if they wana move off the spring sleds, but no rebate from doo, they also have a $500 deposit on those from whoever backed out. One thing I would ask is OTD price. I was going to buy a renegade enduro last year for backup sled as it was advertised for $8999, when I went to make the deal the dealer added all this BS cost and I was at 10,800 OTD. Not much of a discount. And I walked.

I actually talked to a different place outside of Minneapolis, MN that had a 2017 Freeride 137 & they were willing to take $10,100 no set-up fees, hidden costs, etc... Just had to pay taxes of course.

With MN sales tax, that's almost exactly 10,800 then, basically the same price given above.

I have had great luck with Craigslist, both buying and selling. Just have to be willing to weed through all the crap people throw your search word on, even though it has nothing to do with the item they are selling. The new "hidden" feature they put up recently helps with that a lot.

17 freeride is not worth much though with the 18 being in the new platform with an 850... that's why they're giving them away

What is this "hidden" feature?. Last time I searched Vintage Snowmobile. Two pages in I got a bunch (several pages) of granite counter tops, and kitchen cabinets. Really Pi.... me Off.

Aslo 17 Freeride was not a spring order sled like years past. The 18s are now back to spring order sled. Correct me if I'm wrong
