What oil to use in newer AC

Just purchased 07 and 08 Cats with power valves and was wondering if it is necessary to use expensive AC oil. I have always used Citgo in my older sleds with no problems. What about Super Tech brand sold at Wal Mart? Thanks for any input.

Citgo would be fine. Nothing special about AC engines. Not like poo & doo 2s engines that require brand oil or you may be better off with brand oil due to CFI & Etec injected engines.

Yes, but the Cat APV oil smells so pretty, that baby powder fresh scent, how can you get along without that.

Aren't we supposed to use Ams Oil only? Dominator only?

I'm thinking of going all ams when I run out of poo gold.

It mixes with EVERYTHING lol

Ever see those "You can pay me now, or you can pay me later" commercials. You decide. I do know that any oil is better than no oil.

Check the specs on the oil. I don't think I'd stoop to Super Tech from wally world, but certainly Citgo Sea and Snow will be fine.

There is an oil you can get at Farm and Fleet (well around here anyway) called Mystik. Its also advertised in 'American Snowmobiler' and we've heard that its just as good or better then AC oil. We always ran AC oil in our sleds but we are switching to Mystik this year. AC oil was burning a hole in our pockets!!

Want Blue Marble?

Whatever became of Blue Marble oil?

I have a case of gallons that I bought before I converted to 4s. I have been slowly using Blue Marble in my pontoon outboard, weed wacker, chain saw, blowers all my 2s stuff. Smokes a lot less than anything else. I'll sell it if anybody wants a case of gallons.
