what to do?

I have a 2011 Polaris shift CFI 600 136". I just got it about 2 months ago. Has 240 miles on it. Is there anything I should do before the first ride? List any must do's. Thanks.

I have a set of duece bars. But gonna wait to put them until these stock ones are junk. Was thinkin bout a wrap but I've decided to go with the "stealth" look and not have any color. I've already added the black windshield and black hand guards. Chain case oil is done. I did that couple weeks ago.

I thought we went thru this before? Have spare plugs, mix some oil in gas 1st tank check all fluids, ck to see oil is being consumed then rock & roll. Ask us again after your 1st 500 to 600 miles for break in checks. You have not over looked anything relax & ride.:)

Whatever brand & part # plugs are in there are fine don't over think that is how you get in trouble. You will need to spend money on broken stuff so just wait & ride.

Run RN57YCC champions. thats what polaris designed that motor to run with. DO NOT PUT NGKs in
Good advice & this is what I mean stay in stock specs & don't get creative at this point use recomended gas & break that sucker in. After you break in other things to consider but not now you need a baseline 1st to know what needs to be improved.

This is for all Polaris motors. The NGK's don't seem to run well in the Liberty motors, something about the ratings being about half a heat range difference. The Fuji's run on NGK's.

I run NGK's in both my liberty's. Some say they don't work as well, they seem to work fine for me, and the #'s are easier to remember haha

Spare drive belt?
Tow rope?
Was it greased before storage?
Was stable or sea foam used before storage if not clean carbs.

Things I did with my Shift,
1: Did the break in per Polaris instructions, double check fluids, check plugs and general looking over for anything that rattled loose.
2: Graphics, I had an idea from the get go
3: I upgraded to 1.25 track, use stock shocsk at least for little while, they do pretty good & I upgraded in the off season for cheap.
4: Smile & have fun

Alright, so Fri afternoon I decided to clean garage, anyways fired sled up to move it outside, runs for bout 30 seconds before I move and I noticed it said service on the digital display, called local dealer and mechanic said that its just a warning sayin that its time to grease, change chain case, check track tension and throttle cables. Said it should go out after its ran awhile. If not then I gotta clear it off with the button on the brake side. Does this make sense or does the sled need to be taken in? Thanks.

The service light is just a reminder for just that, service.

You can change the interval for it to come on, and I think you could set it to not come on at all. Check your manual as I believe it gives the directions on how to clear it as well as change at what point it will come on.

You did all this right? That is your breakin list.

I've only done the chain case so far. Do I do anything with the throttle cables or any other cables? Where are all the grease zerks? How do you clear off the service warning? I did not get a manuel with this sled. Thanks to all for the help.
