Dirty Joke

I thought you might be leading into one of them there dirty jokes!!!! LOL There isn't one veggy thank I don't like (In north America). I have had some funky sh... in Asian food that I wouldn't order again but I think it was how it was prepared. Now is the time for us gardeners to rejoice and dig in!!!!

BTW I found a great way to serve Yams. For those who know the difference between sweet potato and yam. Dice into small bite size pieces, skin on or off, I prefer skin off. Toss in a bowl with light olive oil, spread out on a pan, sprinkle a small amount of Kosher salt (very small), and then a liberal amount of Mc Cormick Grill Mates Smokehouse Maple seasoning. Top Rack of the oven at 350 for 15-20 minutes(until they are soft) then broil then for 5 minutes @500. My 2 year old will eat them until his belly button pops out like a turkey thermometer.

Baby lima beans..... Other than that I have to agree with doo dr, It's all about how it's prepared, try grilling or pan frying asparagus with olive oil or bacon grease seasoned with sea/kosher salt pepper and garlic...

I guess canned spinnach was a vegetable - once canned I won't touch it either
Or creamed corn

But vegetables that are processed into mush I have no problem with any I can think of.

Can't think of any that I would refuse to eat....a very select few I don't care for so much (i.e., wax beans), but I'd eat them in a pinch.

Now fruits, on the other hand.....I can't think of a more nasty, vile creation than cantaloupe or honeydew.

Peas!!! I hate peas!!!!

peas are great compared to cooked spinach. I have real bad memories of stewed tomatoes too. that was the mainstay of our elementary school lunch program. Nothing like "stomach flu" from migrant picked dirty(unwashed hands) local over ripe near rotten tomatoes that the lunch lady served us kids. Thank God they have laws against that stuff today.

I was going to say the slimy tomato but I will eat it is salsa and also if it is cooked but only in moderation. I was also going to say olives as I eat nothing with that but that is considered a fruit which I also found out that tomatoes are fruit "botanically", so I'm learning something today.

So I'm going with Lima & Navy Bean which I learned is Phaseolus lunatus and is a legume. It is grown for its seed, which is eaten as a vegetable. If it has that I'm not eating it
