Cpl? Ccw?

I didn't really offer a "solution", simply a comment...even legal carry wouldn't help unless there was mention of serious bodily harm...that is unless YOU wanted to be the one in trouble

BTW, I DO have a CPL and...
For myself, as an NRA Life Member since ca. 1960 or earlier, a former competitive rifle and pistol marksman in my high school and college days (at MTU) and a former competitor with the Fifth US Army ROTC team at the NRA National Matches at Camp Perry, OH. I never had nor would I have a CCW/CPL.

Firearms for me have been primarily an expensive way of punching closely grouped holes in paper targets at a distance rather than tools of personal defense.

Besides, I've never been particularly athletic, even far less so at my current advanced age.

My "packing" would be an invitation for the bad guy(s) to wrangle the firearm away from me and use it against me. That plus the potential litigation in today's screwy legal system makes it "no deal" for me.

Ya gots ta know yer limitations!
Whoa! Are you for real?

Lacking a little in reading comprehension are we? I never said a word about punching/shooting your way out of a situation...IF threats were made that's called assault in the eyes of the law and that IS a crime...as to concealed carry, at least in MI, you are only allowed to use your weapon in case of defense of yourself and others when there is "an imminent threat of death OR grievous bodily harm"...even displaying it is a crime called brandishing and that what I was referring to...the "different story" portion referred to getting LEO involved following the crime of assault...actually carrying through with an attack is called battery in the eyes of the law

So many things went from bad to worse with this confrontation here and I just don’t know where to begin, first of all I think they must’ve intimidated you to the point of making decisions that you regretted, being that these people have somewhat of a “psychotic” behavior I think you should document this incident, first I would call and talk to the manager or preferably the owner of the place and describe your situation, let them know that you felt threatened on their property, they have a liability to protect you from undue harm and that you are filing a report with the police, then I would call the local police department and file a report, you state in your description of the occurrence that you think you’re going to see these people again and this would be something to fall back on if things get bad again on you....just my advice

You did nothing wrong by moving their sleds. People like that I just say "You're not worth it" and walk/ride away. They are just trying to get you to start it. If they throw the first punch, then you have many different legal recourses. Civil and criminal.

Nothing wrong with my comprehension what so ever! Perhaps you reread your own post, eh? Then there is this, multiple/several people against 1 guy, and his gal present? I stand as I posted prior, call the law, and start the video.

Sorry to hear that you had this experience. I feel that you did nothing wrong with moving their sleds. I probably would not have moved them back, but again no fowl on your part.
This just sucks to hear things like this, we all work way too hard to pay all of the money that we do to participate in this sport of snowmobiling!
My opinion is that you handled the situation well as there is no use in getting into a confrontation with someone that is looking for trouble trying to prove their “manhood” or really lack there of!

These guys were looking for trouble before you even came into the picture. I don't know the place where this happens, the size of the parking lot, how busy it was, etc. But if they were any kind of sledders, at least from my stand point, they would of looking to park so not only that others can get out, but them to. I'm sure if others blocked them in shhiiiitttt would hit the fan when they wanted to leave.

This is exactly why we don’t stop at the bars anymore. Too many jerks with too many drinks in them who think everything is about them. Not a family friendly aport anymore.
I will say this year on three trips up north we were back to where we were sleeping shortly after dark every night. Not that we drank less lol.... Just don't like being a long ways from home and having to deal with drunks.... Drunks in my group or just in general... LOL
