End of July is spent at the County Fair (my son shows Cattle) and then in September, Woods Hole, MA where my oldest will be stationed for the Coast Guard.

Many countless weekends with wife & kids at our cabin on the Mississippi River hangin on the sandbars, skiing, tubing & fishing for Walleye. Then the last week of July and the 1st week of August it's 2 uninterupted weeks at the cabin with a boat trip up river to Lake Pepin and an overnight to the Dells with the kids. (Just got back from sunny warm Jamaica...ya mon!)

A week camping in the U.P. Weekends camping as often as possible in Wisconsin.

polarfreek, make sure you put your things away at night when camping at Warrens. We camped there 2 years ago with 2 other familys and we all had our beer in coolers outside over night stolen. Good thing we were leaving the next morning.

Yeah, Thanks. And the reason why; I believe is because it attracts alot of teens. Seems to be a hot spot for them. Not a big deal but my kids (5 and 7) just love to go there. I personally would skip this trip.

Thanks Polarfreak! It is fun, we actually have it road legal now, so when we're not ripping it up on the dunes we can drive it on the streets for a sunday cruise or some trail riding in the woods.

Gotta do Something to Get Through to Next Winter!!!!

Brimley State Park in the UP. Watch the Freighters go by all day. Trout fishing in small streams in the northern lower. Ultralight Panther Martin spinners and 2lb line with a 4.5 foot ultralight rod. A 10 inch brookie feels like you have a whale on the end of the line.

Catch Up on Things

Also, now that I have two new hips I will be catching up on a lot of riding my mountain bike that I had to give up about 6 years ago and get back to playing hockey as well.

Just about every weekend I take the Goldwing and head north to some place in the UP. There aren't to many roads up there that I haven't been on, and some I shouldn't have been on. This past Wednesday took a day ride to Ontanogin, stopped at Beer Bellys & back to central WI. Can't beat the UP, winter or summer. During the week I'm a pit crew member for a super late model. Been pretty successful, we've won the last two track championships at Norway speedway.
