I've been in fast groups and slow groups. One time our group was so slow the groomer was brapping us.:)

Hey WD crash that sled while passing and I bet you slow down, this happened to me 3 years ago so it's kinda personal, didn't mean to give you crap. I was on my 03 Rev 800 and passed my brother on his 600 ZX chassis, I went by him at around 70 mph or so. The next thing you know I was around 90 and hit a huge mogul in the trail, the sled went straight up, my face bent the handle bars on the left side and my hand and wrist bent the right side. The sled went 104 feet, yes I measured it, I fell off somewhere in the air and when I hit the hard trail I thought I broke my neck and the only thing I could think of is that my younger brother had to see this. As I tried to move my neck and head was so hot I thought my helmet was full of blood but it was just hot from swelling, could barely get my helmet off. I was very lucky to walk away from this with nothing but a terribly sprained wrist and a very sore neck and back, now I have a 98 sks 500 just to go to camp and fishing. I don't want to be out on the trail anymore knowing that anywhere you go someone is driving like an a$$ hole and I was one of those guys. My neck, back and wrist still give me problems now and then and I can't afford to do anything about it, so think about that next time you want to go like a bat out of hel down the trail, who or what is ahead of you, I know the trail very well where I wrecked. I'm only 32 and hate to be out on the trail now.

briano:Thanks for your kind wishes for my demise on Xmas Eve sounds like you are way over the top on this one & assuming something dangerous happened. Trail passing is not dangerous when done correctly. In fact the approach was very slow 25mph or less 6 brapp knocks & retro rider didn't respond so 1st straight I passed in a flash because I could & safest way to get it done & over with. Nothing at all dangerous about it or I would not have done it. Now think about It ? Do you think I was REALLY Outraged or just sharing something that I thought was funny in tongue & cheek fashion? I'm sorry if this subject matter upset you but this post was meant to be something everyone could have have fun & most did some just didn't get it which is fine too...........everybody is different I understand that. I'm sorry you no longer ride as the new sleds are a hoot to ride & I for one intend to continue to ride & enjoy the sport in spite of inherent risks. If I die rolling out of bed, drown over board in my boat or in the middle of a trail somewhere you can bet I went with SMILE on my face & no regrets!!:D

I saw the same guy on 1967 ole yeller.he had wool pants,Sorel leather boots, red and grey wool socks pulled over his Molones ,bluejean jacket, leather moose skin choppers and yellow open face helmet with a Raliegh Straight hanging on his lips! no scarf cause no clutch guard . checked him out ,said he was pushing 15-16 hp with the head shaved .030 ,Raised exhaust, finger ports ,plus a nice port and polish job, a Tillotson HD carb and a Doug Denert tuned expansion chamber after his neibhor complained about his megaphone exhaust and Klotz bean oil ! He said some Old white haired guy tried to blow by him on new high fuluting Yami 4 cyl 4 stroke sled .Said he held him off for quite a few miles then started thinking this might be St. Nick in disguise cause of all the terrorist crap going on and let him pass so the kids would get their presents on time! Merry Christmas Everybody
