Always been a Gino's East fan. Lou Malnatis, Giordanos, and Bill's Pub in Mundelein are always good options too.
I'm a big fat guy, I know my pizza. Palermo's is my fav.
Stay away from anyplace that looks "nice". It's probably corporate manufactured pizza.
My cousins were from Chicago, and always talked about Palermo's. I want to try theirs sometime.
BILL'S PIZZA is where it is at haha. Havent been in there in some time do they let you throw peanuts on the ground still?
It's been a year since I was there. I want to say they don't do the peanuts on the floor anymore, but I'm doubting my memory on that. I've done it so much, I just don't remember if they stopped it, or if it was some other place that I'm thinking of. Still the same décor though and I think the juke box was still in the corner.
Italian Ovens Round lake, Bills Pub Mundelein, Aurellios Homewood, Ron and Pats Antioch, and Orlandos Round Lake. You can't go wrong with any of their deep dish pies!
Is Ron and Pats in Antioch the same as Pats in Grayslake? I've forgotten about that place, but it was great also.
The Mug's I go to is in Des Plaines on Wolf and Central. Great food there and open till 3AM every night. There is also one on Harlem and Touhy in Chicago, but I didn't think it was as good as the other.BILL'S PIZZA is where it is at haha. Havent been in there in some time do they let you throw peanuts on the ground still? All the other places you listed are good pizza but it is chain and I don't really like all the touristy crap in the city. Some quiet local joints in the area make some knockout pizza. If your ever in the northwest suburbs area make sure to get pizza from MUG's in Palatine.
