Always been a Gino's East fan. Lou Malnatis, Giordanos, and Bill's Pub in Mundelein are always good options too.

BILL'S PIZZA is where it is at haha. Havent been in there in some time do they let you throw peanuts on the ground still? All the other places you listed are good pizza but it is chain and I don't really like all the touristy crap in the city. Some quiet local joints in the area make some knockout pizza. If your ever in the northwest suburbs area make sure to get pizza from MUG's in Palatine.

I'm a big fat guy, I know my pizza. Palermo's is my fav.

Stay away from anyplace that looks "nice". It's probably corporate manufactured pizza.

My cousins were from Chicago, and always talked about Palermo's. I want to try theirs sometime.

It's been a year since I was there. I want to say they don't do the peanuts on the floor anymore, but I'm doubting my memory on that. I've done it so much, I just don't remember if they stopped it, or if it was some other place that I'm thinking of. Still the same décor though and I think the juke box was still in the corner.

Although all that were mentioned are killer pizzas... We just threw down a house special from Riggios in Niles that you need to eat next to an AED.

Italian Ovens Round lake, Bills Pub Mundelein, Aurellios Homewood, Ron and Pats Antioch, and Orlandos Round Lake. You can't go wrong with any of their deep dish pies!

Personally Aurelios is my favorite and has been since the 70's...will not go down there without making a stop there.

Is Johns pizza in Addison still there?...I think it was by the Pink Pony.....that was some good pizza...

Is Ron and Pats in Antioch the same as Pats in Grayslake? I've forgotten about that place, but it was great also.

I second Arctic George Pizzeria Uno or Due. Also Iike Chicago Pizza and Ovengrinder ( it's upside down pizza) is good and I think it's located accross the street from the St Valenitines Day Massacre site, on Clark, St.

No....2 different owners. Actually Pats in Grayslake closed up shop about a year back. I think he retired, but yea, his building there in Grayslake is for sale. I forgot how good his pies were.

The Mug's I go to is in Des Plaines on Wolf and Central. Great food there and open till 3AM every night. There is also one on Harlem and Touhy in Chicago, but I didn't think it was as good as the other.

RJ's in Lindenhurst is pretty good (whenever I go to my brother's house we have it) and Pizza-4-You down in the SW suburbs is awesome. We literally ate it 2x a week when my wife and I were first married. +1 to Aurelio's & Bill's & Pat's
