Why Are We Brand Loyal With Snowmobiles?

I ride what my uncle likes to work on.

Easy choice, go with whatever the mechanic in the family will help with. Just provide him with beer and let him when the race.

I dont consider myself brand loyal anymore. I will buy whatever sled fits my needs the best and is the best value. My Yamaha, so far has been my best sled to date. Only my Polaris XC SP 800 left me stranded.

Well let's see......as a young man I chased the kitty, I went to the humane society and got a kitty, I ended up marrying a woman with a kitty, I now ride a kitty, and all my buddies chase my kitty.........I guess that why I'm a kitty guy.

I look at options on the sled I get. I'm looking at a sled for the wife for next year
I like the new 600 ace that ski-doo has for 2011 but dont have it in the GSX
If I went out west I get the AC M8 for it works the best.
For around here I like the switchback 600 or the renegade 600
If I put on 5000 miles a year, and just trail ride the yamaha apex or vector works.

Just like cars or trucks what works best for you.

it was a '95 indy 500. crank 2 times and then fried one of the pistons. Crank was warrantied the first time.
did you break it in? mechanic i was talking to was saying if you take it easy on a sleds crank for the first 1000 miles, the crank will easily last 20k miles. unless of course you ride very hard.

I have had only 2 brands in over 45 years, first was a 1964 Polaris, then numerous Vikings from 1966 to 1980, then Polaris's again.I have had great luck with all of my sleds. I am going to look at all brands though for next year.
