Not sure why one would want to run from them and risk tacking on a fleeing and eluding charge? Not to mention put others on the trail at risk?

When you're handed a $190 ticket for missing an imaginary stop sign you will think differently...

Wisconsin dnr are like the gestopo. I got checked over 10 times in one winter by the same warden for my fishing license. he wanted to make sure I had it on me. so i'm pretty sure they would give you a citation and in Wisconsin they start at 168 dollars. let me see your papers.

Hate this.we use to go to Wisconsin From Mooselake.Over to Webster and back, Up to superior and back a couple of time to Solon springs but now just avoid going near the towns anymore.I have four sleds and always have one or two people that come from western Mn to ride a couple times a year with there sled.We do not go over the boarder so we do not end up spending any money over there. This sticker thing I'd buy it if I plan ahead but I don't even know what way we end up going on any given trip other than now avoiding Wisconsin .I wish they had a universal sticker when registration are due.maybe an extra $30 for my three year sticker.odds are only one or two sled would ever get used in another state but I would not have to worry about regulation that have made us avoid riding in some areas. We use to see riders from Wisconsin but just don't see that many come here anymore ether.Im always willing to help support the trails but this turned in to one more reason to ticket and get money from sledders for the state.I have four older sleds but I have a backup and sometimes I bring one of my family members that can't afford to own or have never gone before.its for fun but I do help my local club and understand how much it cost to take care of trails and the time to keep them up but should not feel that I'm crossing into Russia on my sled.

Maybe, but not enough to run from them. And certainly not enough to put innocents on the trail at risk because of my bad luck. Like others said, can't outrun Motorola. Why make a bad situation worse? When you get caught, it's gonna be a lot more than the initial $190 hit.

Indy, we met the Winnebago Enforcement on the Wiowash two weeks ago. They're on 800 E tecs that were donated by Ecklunds that are clearly marked. We talked for awhile and they were cool, just checking stickers mostly. They did arrest some poor schmuck that had an outstanding warrant though.
Every trail cop I've seen rides a fan cooled 2 up. Just sayin'...
Like someone else said, it's hard to outrun a Motorola:)
